Sigh! My poor little guy...first he gets his freedom taken away by being forced to become a pampered house cat (OH! The indignity of it all!;) ) Then the 4th of July comes along and he spends a few hours hiding under the futon...the we get hit with almost 24 hours of horribly loud thunderstorms and its back under the futon again...only to be coaxed out and cuddled.....and fed treats....poor little one.....

I will have pictures soon BTW....

Dear Oatmeal -we have no idea how a Pennsylvania (?) thunderstorm feels. Mom tells us it is all worse over there where you live. But we know how a millennium firework feels and can tell you only this: WE SURVIVED. But it was a close thing:D

Poor Oatmeal...we sure have been hit hard with the rainy stuff lately, eh? I think the worst is over, and we can all swelter in the July heat for awhile. Come on out from under the futon little one...

Oatmeal, you weren't the only one to be frightened by fireworks. My 4 furkids were also very scared. Luckily they had there meowmie there with them to protect them. :) I can't wait to see some pics of you and I also love your name. :D

Sigh! Does anyone have a direct line to Mother Nature? She isn't returning my calls. We had another round of very intense storms roll thru last night about bedtime. As soon as the clouds started to blacken outside Oatmeal took refuge under the futon again. This time though, the other guys were just as spooked. My husband went down to the basement at one point and Bouncer was hiding under his workbench and she normally is not afraid of anything. Zingo was glued to me and Kunan just wanted to be wherever there was a person. The only one unaffected was Plague who kind of blinked at me, yawned, and rolled over to go back to sleep....our neighbor has a collie who is about 4 or 5 and he is so bad she almost has to sedate him when it storms! The poor things. Hopefully they really understand when we cuddle them and tell them everything will be ok.....

They are predicting another round tonite....
