Wow! That IS a small world. But, you will find once you move here that everyone is a transplant from somewhere else. I am from MN originally (moved around the country a lot though) and found many people (almost 60% of the people I meet) are from MN. I even worked with an older lady who went to the same elementary school as me when she was a kid! I'm sure you will find the same thing. In fact, my ex-boyfriend and his family are all from New Hampshiere. They lived in Charleston (on the VT border?). We even talked about getting married and moving to Nashua! That was ages ago though.

Sorry to ramble. You will like it here... I hope. Do you like 110 degree heat?

Arizona!! I LOVE Arizona. Someday I'd like to retire there. We've visited twice and Tucson (near the Catalina Mts.) is my favorite spot, so far. Haven't been up any farther than Sedona (unbelieveably beautiful) yet. That'll be the next vacation there....Just love it! You are right, everyone there is from somewhere else!

My grandparents live in Arizona (Sedona, actually). We went to visit them 2 years ago. It was a nice time to go at the end of March/beginning of April. But, the week after we left it snowed! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif I don't think I could take the heat.

My second favorite subject - talking about AZ! Look, I live here and I can't take the heat! I moved here with my family in 1987. This July will be 14 years. The heat has been really hard to deal with over the last few years.

Tucson is great but only in the north end... the Catalina Mountain side. The rest of it I could do without. No offense to anyone who likes it or might live there. Sedona is amazing. We go up there every year around Christmas time to see the Los Abbriagados Resort's light fantasy. Phoenix is a great city. The only bad thing is it's becoming a clone of L.A. BUt, it is way cleaner. Traffic stinks but not as bad as L.A. I just love how the city is laid out..so easy to get around. Anyway, PurrfectPaws, I think you will like Chandler. It is like the new suburb of PHX. Other than downtown Chandler, most everything is brand new and growing so fast. How come you are moving down here?

It looks like a lot of you live on the east coast or in Illinois. Those of you in IL could probably get together! I feel like the only one way out west!

Yeah, but it's a dry heat! LOL
Right now I'm experiencing that heat because my A/C is broken and it is 93 here and I have to wait til tomorrow for a repairman!!! When we visited AZ it was 100+! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/eek.gif

Ha ha... http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif That dry heat thing just doesn't work for me anymore. There is nothing like walking out the door of my nice, cool office building and be hit in the face with 110 degree wind! It feels like you are being hit with a blow dryer. Then getting into your 150 degree car and burning your hands on the steering wheel and gear shift and seat belts. It's all fun http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif NOT!!! You all may wonder why I still live here then if I complain... well, I guess it's the same as everyone complaining about the snow and cold but putting up with it. The rest of the year makes it all worth while http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif

By the way Sudilar... 100 degrees feels great... that's a cold front to us http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif! Ha ha ha.

I hear ya! 106 didn't seem THAT bad! LOL Everyone seems to look at the few months when it's really hot. The rest of the year is beautiful (except for the monsoons)! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/wink.gif

I don't want to hear any of you complaining about weather! I live in Canada. It's too cold in the winter and too hot in the summer!

The monsoon season is the BEST time of year here. THE BEST! Tucson usually gets hit harder than most places. As for Canada, I'm sure it's beautiful... and cold. I'm from MN so I can totally relate to cold. I really did have to walk to school when it was 20 below (just not barefoot and uphill)

hee hee hee

I agree with Tanya, we Northerers have it rough! Freezing in the winter, sweltering in the summer. It's never just right! But hey I love MA anyway http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif
