Tone, I am honored to be the first one to leave a note to you. I have never heard of your breed before. When I first saw you, I thought you were part Great Dane. You sure are a beautiful dog. In your regal pose, you almost look like the Sphinx. I'm so sorry those horrible poachers hurt you so badly. You must have been very scared out there all alone and hurting. We're all glad that you've recovered from your ordeal. You were a really great DOTD and you've got lots of hugs coming to you, beautiful.

Oh, Tone!! I was glued to my seat , breathless, as I read with great anticipation your incredible story! What a brave, determined dog you are!! I can only imagine the fear and pain you were in, being snarred in that trap!:( Not to mention the great worry and fear your family must have been feeling! What a happy, happy moment that must have been, as they saw you emerge from the bush, injured but still in one piece! Thankfully you're all healed now!! And I'm sure after your harrowing ordeal, there is nothing your folks won't forgive you!;) (C-O-U-C-H!:D) Now, on a happier note...I must tell you, you are one STUNNINGLY HANDSOME dog! For a second time this week, I've been introduced to a most spectacular and unique "new" breed! I'm so anxious to go read up on Boerboels!! You are magnificent creatures! Congratulations to big, brave, beautiful Tone, our super Sunday Dog of the Day! Enjoy a happy day of celebration, sweet boy; most of all, be safe!:)

Like dukedogsmum who started the thread today, my KatMa never heard of Boerboel dogs either. Mew, what we've learned today is that you are a guard dog and clever too. What an original ideal you had -- chew the sofa so you get our own sofa!

Tone, you are gorgeous. The other 9 dogs must just love having such a smart girl join the team.

Mew, Me-eoW! If my KatMa lost a pet she'd have to be locked up in an institution! Thank goodness your grandfurents found you...what a scary experience! Being caught in a snare set up by poachers. Thank goodness you've fully recovered and my KatMa agrees with your fursons -- no going to the river again!

As for the poachers, KatMa wishes them misfortune and grief, pain and sorrow. Actually my KatMa thinks they should be shot dead (she does NOT like it when animals are harmed).

Live long & healthy (I wish you nine lives) happy, loved & cherished. KatMa sends 100,000 hugs & kisses and I send kittykisses, purrs, mews, & nose twinkles.
