I was wondering what you opinions were regarding giving cats raw meat. I have read about the "barf diet" but the whole idea makes me worried. What if the cats get samonella or some other funky virus?
I have seen something on the net where a veterinarian beleives only in giving cats raw meat, because he says that in the wild, thats all cats eat, and that this is the proper way for them to get their nutrients.(no cat food at all!)
I definatley do not agree with that, but I don't know if I should try to give them some kind of raw meat. Am I skimmping out on
their health by not giving it to them?
They are eating Royal Canin and Felidae dry only. They HATE pretty much all wet foods!
My Mom says I should be giving them a little raw meat(she said she always gave it to her cats)
I only want the best for my boys! Any advice would be appreciated!:)

Lorraine this is one i have to question as well, some vets swear by giving your cats raw meat, and i actually do give my cats ground prime beef mince weekly , although only ash will consume it, but thats all and i keep it to a minimum.
Some people give their cats raw chicken necks, and say they love it, i have not tryed this and not sure i will, i think its up to you really, but im sure there will be opinions that differ to mine, but just take it all in and decide whats best for your kitties, good luck.
