I was so excited to meet some of you that I've never met before, and happy to see the ones I already know very well.

Make it 5 with no pictures....we forgot our camera. I can not WAIT to see one of the pictures that KayAnn took.

What an amazing group of people and dogs! Everyone (2 and 4 legged) gets along so well...Mike, who almost didn't go, refused to leave so our dogs had to wait until almost 8pm to eat dinner!! Great food, great fun, and great people and dogs!

Diane, your potato salad was awesome!! I want the recipe. You and Carl left before I could snag the recipe from you. I hope you're feeling better soon.

It just seems that everytime we meet, we talk less and less about Pet Talk (as if that was the only thing we have in common) and more and more like old friends who are absolutely comfortable with each other....what a testament to pets!! You guys truly are some of our best friends.


I am waiting just as anxiously for the pictures, as a result of the Kendall's blonde moment.

I hope all with long drives make it back safely.

Well, Kay Ann won't be home for several more days nor will Amy and Nebo so I guess you will be waiting for their pictures for awhile even though they have digitals. My Amy (Cincy's mom) did not get her digital on Friday so is doing it the old way again. And I didn't take any because I just wasn't feeling good enough too.
The rest didn't leave until late 6:30 or so here so they probably won't have time to post pictures tonight. I hear some people actually have jobs they have to go to each day.

It always seems we have to arrive late due to other commitments or leave early because I am old and get too cold on those winter gatherings. But this time the weather was perfect, the food was perfect, the people were perfect and I was sick. I have a very bad sinus infection and lost my voice yesterday so I went around whispering the entire day. By 4:00 I was beat and had to go home for my nap. (Not that that lasted long, the coughing kept waking me up).

Taggert the amazing hunting dog found the rabbits and woudn''t stay out of the weeds once he found one. He kept brining them out. We won't say much more about that although they were little cuties.

Molly, I will get that Potato Salad recipe to you soon. It's an old secret family recipe (I am just saying that for effect - it is my mom's recipe but there is nothing really special about it). But, I have to admit, it is MY favorite potato salad too.

ALL the food was wonderful and that comes from a sicko who couldn't really enjoy it the way the rest were.

And I too feel that we have a great Pet talk family with great pet talk pets!!!!:rolleyes:

What a wonderful time. What wonderful people my fellow dog (and cat) lovers are! Little Sammy was the cutest thing, oh my gosh he was just an absolute doll! He was quite possibly the first cat at that dog park :) And it was just so neat meeting Amy (Wolf Q) and KayAnn (Kfmar) and their parents. Really neat people. And It was just great meeting Simba and his 'adorable beyond words', wrinkle-faced Nala sister. She and Simba were so adorable. Graham really had a fondness for Simba....I think he knew how much I love that Sim Sim boy :) And NEBO! What a cutie pie! He played really nice and he played really HARD. He is so strikingly gorgeous and it was such a pleasure getting to meet that beautiful boy in person! And those two dobies were just such angels. Really, really sweet dogs. Very loving and affectionate. I so much enjoyed meeting them and their wonderful 'parents'.

Yummy food, too! I was so full from huge variety of yummy foods.

It was perfect. A picture perfect day, not too hot, barely any humidity, lots of puffy white clouds breaking up the rays of the sun, slightly breezy....perfect. Just perfect. Whoever wished for perfect weather, THANK YOU!

I don't have many pictures. My camera case strap is uncomfortable to wear around my neck for any amount of time, so I just set it down and socialized. I didn't take many pics because I was so much enjoying chatting that I kind of forgot to get pics. I'll post what I have tonight after work.

Sorry neither I nor anyone else posted pics last night, but I think we were all too pooped to be on the computer much at all.
With the drive plus the time spent at the park we were gone from 10:30am-7:30pm.
I swear, I've never seen Roxey so tired in all my life. Last night she wouldn't go outside and when we called her, her eyes never even opened! All they did this morning was go outside to potty, come in & eat then fall back asleep.
Everone's pictures are awesome & I can't wait to see Kim, Amy & KayAnn's since they are the real photographers;)

What a great day we had! The weather couldn't have been more perfect! I only wish I brought Moo to play with Sammi. They would've had a great time together. Moo LOVES being outside.

The food was fantastic. Mike, you are one great cook.

And Phred, I have never met a firefighter who made cookies as great as yours. My proposal still stand ;) I walk one hell of a great hose, ya know. :D

It was so great to see everyone and finally have you meet my daughter Amy, although she was somewhat of a party poop.

Well, gotta go put her on a plane (finally!!). This has been one looooooooooooooooong heck of a week.

I chatted briefly with Staci then collapsed in bed by 9. Can't wait till Labor Day Weekend to do it all over again.

Wow, too much fun! Too many cute puppies. I tried to convince KayAnn into letting me take Nala home, but she shouldn't let me. hehehe! Nala is such a cutie pie! There were too many dogs and too short of time.

Then, on the drive home, I had a lot of fun looking at the NASCAR semi trucks driving back from the big race in Chicago. Too awesome, I have never seen that before. Let's see, I saw the Yellow, DeWalt, Tide, Kleenex, Lowes, Viagra ( :o ), and Rubbermaid race teams. I can not believe it, I am still in awe...Dale Earnhardt's semi went past too. No, no, not Earnhardt Junior #8- Dale Earnhardt #3. I screamed when I saw it. The semi was all black, with the Goodwrench car on the side, with a big number 3 on the back of the trailer with Dale's signature going over the number 3. Way too amazing.

I really wanted to see Tony Stewart's semi go by, but I never did. :( I could have peed in my pants if I did, hehe. :p

We also drove past a couple others, but we couldn't tell who they were since they were driving in the opposite direction rather fast.

I can't wait for the New Mexico meeting, and the Amtrak ride there! So excited!

Hey everyone!!! I'm in Michigan on my sister's computer and in the middle of loading the photos up!!!!! I'm so happy to finally be on my computer, 4 or so days without the comp was torture!!


I was so scared to meet everyone, but then again so excited! I got to meat my favorite Graham, Serenity, and Nebo!! As well as all of my other favorite pooches from pet talk!


We went and drove with Amy and her crew and met Rachel, Anna and Rosie. What sweet puppers! Rosie was afraid of Nala cause she kept barking at her.... Nala is VERY talkative when she plays hehe.

Well, let me get back to loading pictures so i can post em!!

Simba and Nala were pooped afterwards. I'm so happy with Simba because he was such a good boy and put up with the dane, Graham, and Huney!! :p

And I had a GREAT time at the Dog Park! Wonderful people, great food (Fenway park hot dogs......mmmmmmm.........), beautiful doggies, and the weather was PERFECT. The only bad thing was the drive back - I almost fell asleep at the wheel by the time we got near Chicago. (Sammy and Laura were asleep - no one to talk to!)

I've got some great pictures too, but I think we're all trying to upload to Imagestation at once today and plugging it up :D :p - I've been trying since this morning. I have AOL dial-up, which doesn't help at all. I'll post a link if and when I can get them on there.

I would highly recommend attending a PT meeting if you can - great fun! All the dogs were so well behaved, and none of them tried to eat Sammy, though they did want to sniff him. Poor old Graham ventured a sniff, and got a double-pawed whack on the muzzle! (Sammy forgot his manners there for a moment.) What a great facility for dogs - I wish they had something like that for cats, so I could let mine run around free in the grass and sunshine.

The Bunny's were caught by my mom's dog Taggert. We got three of them out of the park alive, unfortunatly one seemed to have a broken neck :( Donna helped the bunny cross the bridge.

KayAnn, I just uploaded a photo to Imagestation...no problems!

Try uploading them in smaller segments, say... 5 at a time or so. I tried to upload 20 at one time and Imagestation crashed -- worked when I used a smaller number, tho. :)

Hey all....I'm back. :) I had a wonderful time meeting you all! Everyone was very nice, the food was great....and I loved playing with all of the dogs! I hope Nebo wasn't too bratty...he gets a little over excited, lol. You'd never know it was the same dog watching him snooze in the hotel room.

I have many pics, I'll post them soon...too bad my camera ran out of pics or I'd have more. Guess I'll have to wait until the film pics are developed.

I'd love to meet all of you again! One of these days I'll drag you all down here! ;) Oh, and I thought Ohio was gorgeous! The area of the dog park was so lush and green......Rachel said nobody waters lawns there? :eek: You could never do that here, or you'd have a nice yellow lawn!
