This isn't a straight forward begging question, as we don't find our furkids table scraps (Though we give them treats of human food IN their bowls)

For the last couple of weekends George disappears for a couple of hours and returns smelling of charcoal smoke.

I think our Georgie is begging for food at local barbecues. I asked George if this is what he was doing and I'm sure I got a smile in return.

I think, we are going to have to buy him a collar for weekends, stating 'DON'T FEED THIS CAT' :D

LOL! PIF. That's one cat that will go far. Can you imagine him strolling round all the local barbecues loooking like a starved , homeless furboy!! As if?! Or he's taken to lying on top when the barbie is off, getting nicely warm and smelly!! Give him a doggy(! sorry George!) bag and he could bring home supper!

*Trying to picture George looking starved *

ROTFLMAO :D

Maybe he could suck in his belly, even so there is no way that he can look starved.

I have found that if I forget to close the lid of my barbeque after an evening cook-out, one of my cats, Buchi, can be found licking the grate the next day when he is let out! Probably not very good for him...though what a tasty treat. I promise it doesn't happen often...smile. Maybe your's is hitting the neighborhood backyard grills...especially now that summer has arrived and people are grilling more often.

Mum's kitty, Milo, in her long-gone youth was a very skinny Meezer/DSH cross. Now, she looks like a football with legs! Why? Because she uses her abundant charm and feline wiles to charm all the neighbours into giving her food!

LOL

And yes, she used to steal from the neighbour's bbq, he kept leaving food on it after they had gone inside. What the hell did he expect, with cats living next door? The same neighbour grew pot in a huge drum, cut in half, clearly visible from our deck - so he was a few sandwiches short of a picnic!
