There aren't any pictures of Spot and Freckles. Vicki said she was going to charge the batteries on her digital camera and then take pictures and get them on our Petfinder site.

Hey, I was just wondering where did ya'll pull & rescue these guys from?? Is there a shelter you get them from?? Do ya'll have your own rescue group? Just curious.:) BTW they are all extremely adorable!!:eek:

homes and their would be no need for shelters.

These 6 came from the Animal Welfare League in Warsaw, IN. That's the shelter where Vonney and DeeDee came from. Monday I think we may be getting a batch from Shelby County Ohio (where Rose was) and Perry County Ohio. Cobb Care Humane Society is a no kill shelter in New Haven, IN (just east of Fort Wayne) that was started last August by Vicki Cobb. There's a thread in Dog Rescue about it too, I just wanted more people to see them so I posted in General.

Oh ok I will chk out pet rescue. I just recently became employed at the local humane society and was a vol. for about 6mnth. So I have learned and will be learning alot about how things work!!

Yeaaaa Molly & Vicki! I see you got a few more, that's great! When are you going to be able to put the dogs in the new building? With this many more dogs soon I'm sure;)
So I see you may be getting some more from Shelby county, is it the ones that we were looking at when I was there?

Yeppers Anna, I don't know if you were still there when Vicki told me about a woman that she meets on a dirt road and exchanges dogs, but that's whose doing it and she knows someone in Perry county that may pull those.

As for the building, Mike and I and Vicki are going over there tomorrow for most of the day and patch the floor (there are cracks in the concrete) and paint the floor and clean the carpet in the offices (they are a hideous color of purplish pink) and see if we can't get some of the stink out of there. I think Vicki wants to start moving cats in there this weekend and possibly some of the dogs when we get kennels in. Rose sure had a good time in there playing with Mike.

*****UPDATE*******

1. Babs went home today!! YEAH!!! I, of course, cried.

2. We weren't able to get the dogs from Shelby and Perry county.

3. We got a pup yesterday afternoon and we have someone looking at him today.

4.ROSE UPDATE! Ok, we have a family looking at Rose this afternoon also.

If all goes well we may have 3 adoptions today!!

Oh, btw...Rose is Pet of the Week on WAJI a local radio station and Rose's picture is on the website. www.waji.com is the address and I think you have to go to the link for the DJs or something like that and it's Dirk and Jeanette that are the morning DJs.

Captin's picture is already gone, but he only lasted about 12 hours before he got adopted. He's such a doll!!

2 down today...now we're just waiting to see if the people adopt Rose.

Molly, I'm glad to hear that Babs & Captain have found a forever home:D
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Rose, but you haven't called me yet, so I'm assuming either they didn't show or if they did they didn't want her?

Well as of 9pm they had not called or emailed Vicki. I talked to her and she was over at the shelter feeding, watering, and loving on the dogs over there, but had not heard anything. I told her to call me if she got anything when she got home, and I have not heard from her. I hate people. Too chicken to even call and say they aren't interested. AAARRRGGGHHHH.... How can anyone not love her.:mad: She was so cute at the radio station this morning too. The intern just loved her. He said if he didn't live at home she never would have left the station. Hopefully someone goes to the WAJI website and falls in love with her.
