Fruit and other foods can't mix?

I read on another forum that you shouldn't feed fruit within 20 mintues of feeding another food. (unless it's apples). Does anyone know if this is true? I used to give Timber fruit with her food...I don't think I was making her sick :confused:

I've never heard of that before...I give Kai fruits at any time..doesn't seem to be bothering him.

No, they didn't have anything to back it up...This one person was just flaming someone because their recipe contained blueberries mixed with other things, and they said that you can't mix fruit with other foods because it makes a dog sick :confused:

I mix bananas for Ceebers all of the time in his Kong's, he hasn't had a problem so far.

Maybe a vet would know?

I just did a little more research, and found out that it doesn't make your dog sick. It is apparently part of the BARF diet and it is some rule. :rolleyes: :o Apparently you can read all about this "rule" in some book called "Give your Dog a Bone" which is very popular on another forum..
