If there is such a thing - :D - So nice to see the pics! I have the vegemite song running through my head, and probably will all day! Here I really thought it WAS a case of vegemite, which I thought was delightful! DUH again!
So, tell me the truth - did you tell the young couple who asked what pet talkers are that you were a Pet Psychic training center? Or that you were professional "Pet Whisperers"?
Do we have to wait til next year for another? How I wish I could have been there.
You guys are terrific, and I'll be looking for more pics!

Nice to meet you Richard. Now I will have a face for that RICHARD name on the screen :)

We really should think about a PT meeting here in Europe. Juni agrees with me.

I demand to see pictures of Rascal being the king of the house. or of the world :D

Looks like you guys had a lot of fun and what great pictures. If I had at least a couple of months notice and the BBQ was a week or two later I could probably swing it. Planning vacation time around here is not easy.
Nice to meet you Richard. You look exactly like I imagined!! And Chauncey, I like to watch too....Being There was one of my all time fav movies.

Nice to meet the rest of you too! Here's to BBQ 2004:D :D

Being There is also one of my all time favorites. I mentioned it to Richard when he was here and I don't think he had seen it. I hope he rents it.

I have also always wanted to see the Biltmore mansion in Ashville, N.C. where it was filmed.

and scared myself on the way home....
i put the bottle in the front of my truck so it would not bounce around in the bed of my truck...
i ended up passing a Park Ranger and two police cars on the way home.....

"Officer, I'm on my way back from a Pet Talk
BBQ and was in charge of the drinks.....

Oh no, I just had ONE drink.

What is a Pet Talk????

No officer, we don't get drunk and talk to our pets...

Can I call my lawyer?????"

I read the book several times - looks like I'm ready for a reread of Kozynski; have to admit I'd forgotten about good ol'Chauncey over the past few years.
I'll have to check out the movie - Now I have an face to put with Chauncey. Delightful, Richard. I love the way you think!!! Wish I could have Been There -

Looks like you all had a wonderful time. It's nice to be able to put faces with some names (Richard, NoahsMommy, etc.).

Wish there was a way to have a Newfoundland Pet Talk Meeting.

More pictures. This is Mr. Fish who is a very bad influence on Aaron, Karen's husband.

(by the way, the bottle is the excellent champagne that Nicole and Shane sent to us from Australia).

Rascal: even under the bad influence of Mr. Fish and some cat margaritas you are still the best looking man at the party:)

Well, I'm finally home!! I extending our meeting a bit by going home with wolflady and her hubby on Sunday night after we left Gini's house.

We had so much fun!! On Monday we went to the shelter she gives her time to. I got to see a ton of kittens and cats, even got to give some sickies a sponge bath. :)

After the shelter, we went back and ate a yummy salmon dinner Karen made and watched the Animal Planet and Emma. (poor Aaron!!)

On Tuesday, we went to Petco to buy a few things for my furkids...not that they needed anything with all the spoiling from Auntie Karen, Auntie Tracey and Auntie Gini!!! :D But, found a few items any way. Next, it was onto the Gap Outlet store for some matching tank tops!!! (hee hee) Then, had lunch at KFC (yum) and then went to TJMax where we got matching kitty mugs...so we can remember each other each time we drink from them. :) (I know...we're so freaking mushy!!) Then, we went to the garlic shop (a must do when in Gilroy - the garlic capital of the world!) and got David some Garlic/Parmesaen dipping sauce.

We then went home to eat and then went to see Pirates of the Caribean. It was so great...all I have to say is Johnny Dep plays a fine pirate...yummy!!! ;)

I came home today after a long journey home. My train was delayed four hours, so I took a bus from Salinas to Santa Barbara. I can safely say that had to be the most ANNOYING six hours in my entire life!!! There was a drunk/stoned dude on the bus and felt is was OK to bother everyone. Most everyone was polite and I completely ignored him the best I could. Thankfully, a guy sat down next to me in San Luis Obispo and we talked the whole way to Santa Barbara, successfully working together to make that idiot leave us alone.

When we arrived in Santa Barbara, I upgraded my ticket to Business Class and enjoyed the rest of my trip. :)

My kitties are glad I'm home...Noah's been helping me type this, as a matter of fact. :)

Hope everyone else had as much fun as I did this weekend. I can't wait to get together again.

Oh...did I tell you all how much I LOVE Karen's Sergei??? I'm still plotting to steal him...hee hee

You all had a meeting & I knew nothing about it (I must be in the twilight zone:o)

Wow, it looks like you all had a really terrific time, and Gini, she sounds like the perfect host!

So that's what Richard looks like (not half as scary as I thought:p ) It's nice to see you all having such fun, I wish I could have been there too:( But hey, I've got a whole year (come to think of it I've never been to CA)..who knows;)

Thanks for all the wonderful pictures everyone!!!!

Lut was kind enough to share a fun site with me.

This is a tribute to Aaron (wolflady's husband) who did such a great job on the BBQ.

Gini was the perfect host! She's such a sweet person, I'm sure I can speak for us all when I say I'm so glad to have met her. :)

Did I rant about Rascal yet??? I think I've been under Sergei's spell and neglected to do so. I'm so sorry sweet Rascal.

He spent most of his time at the front door, what a sweet greeter! He is such a talkative boy...kept us all entertained with his stories. :) He almost went home with me, but I couldn't train him to run to the car fast enough. ;)

Thank you again for everything Gini...as you can see, Hermione loves the toys you got them. :D

Bless your heart Hermoine! You are more than welcome.

Rascal has relinquished his spot at the front door.......but he has taken up residence again on the dining room table.

I tried NO! DOWN! and he just looked at me like, Oh yeah, Right.

LOL LOL Yes, Rascal was a real charmer! I thought it was so adorable when I made a phone call, and he plopped himself right between (and on) my feet! I can't wait to get those pictures developed! What a cutie! What can I say? He's an Orangie!! :D :D

I too am so lucky to have been able to meet Gini in person. She and Rascal are such wonderful and delightful folks! I can't wait for the next meeting in Southern Cal!! :D

**hugs**
Karen

P.S. Even Aaron said he had a good time ;)
