Smashing poppies!!! I love them:) And roses anyway. Do they plant roses for rose oil in Moldova as they do in Bulgaria?

They used to, there was a very big kind of a farm near Chisinau, where they were growing roses for almost all the Soviet Union parfum industry. It still exists, but it's not so big. They are growing more clary? now.

What a lovely thistle. I had a friend who adored thistles and even had a tattoo of one. Lovely photo.
