Motor City Pitts (http://www.motorcitypits.com/default.html)

These dogs are NOT pure bred pits. Some look like Dogue de Bordeaux.

WARNING Site contains VERY crude language.

Gonna find out if the HS in Detroit know about this guy.

omgosh...."Spike comes from a long line of outlaw dogs. Definitely rough around the edges but a beautiful dog non-the-less"...Why in the world would someone breed a dog for looks when they know that the dog has temperment problems...grr!

Look at this...

that is sick! i hate puppy mills. those are not pitbulls!i agree he has his breeds mixed up!

i personally know someone who ownes one....much worse then this, but doesn't say it is a puppy mill....she says she is a "responsible" breeder.....i know better....when your dogs don't ever touch grass,or have puppies all the time, have no teeth, are very skinny.....something tells me they are a puppy mill!!!

i've blown my steam.... thanks

My question is, what is the best environment for the rescues?

RESCUE PITBULLS
It is no secret, we run into a lot of rescue pits here at Motorcity Pitbulls. Here are the rules if you are interested:

We rescue pits on a regular basis. If you are intereseted in a rescue animal, please call and go through our screening process. Then your name will be added to the “list.” (all rescue dogs have been through our 4 week Tomygun Pitbull Training and Socialization Program.)
People are not given pits based on first come, first serve basis. We place our dogs with whom we feel will provide the best environment for the animal. Sorry folks, that is the way it has to be.

THANKS
It is no secret, we run into a lot of rescue pits here at Motorcity Pitbulls. Here are the rules if you are interested:

We would like to thank all our neighbors for putting their imposed prejudices aside and keeping an open mind about our dogs.
We would also like to Thank Dr. Bajwa and his wonderful staff @ A-Care Animal Clinic in Troy for all their help, support and advice.
We would most importantly like to thank our dogs that have brought so much to our lives.

This site annoys me  You can't have 100 pound + pits, it's just impossible! I also agree, they do not look purebred, and they do look like they carry dogue de bordeaux.

That is EXACTLY the type of pitty "breeder" that is ruining the whole breed. Breeding "monster" pits when they're only supposed to be like 40 lbs is grossly irresponsible. Please let me know what you find out about this BYB. I'd be interested to know.

I'll bet soon he's going to jump on the color du jour of the pits....blue.

After readin some of the Motor City Pitbull page, I can only imagine what kind of reply you may get Molly. I am guessing it may need to be edited before it could be posted!!!

I called the Michigan Humane Society and reported them. I gavce them the website link and the phone number. If you look REAL close, there's a treadmill in a couple of the pictures which is considered "paraphernalia".

You know, it's kinda funny. If someone really wanted me to get rid of my dogs and report me, I'd have "paraphernalia" too. I have a treadmill (for me), a springpole (for the dogs) and my dogs always have scratches from the other dogs because they play so hard.

Way to go Molly and Donna. :)

I'll jump and cheer if they bust these guys on Animal Cops. :D

Conveniently enough he hasn't answered me. I also tried to call and no one answered.

There's really no such thing as a "purebred" pit, anyway. The breed itself is a hybrid.

Pits are the most overbred breed out there. Anyone who claims to be breeding them responsiblely is at best, a complete imbecile.

The guy that I talked to in Michigan about Rose was interested in the MotorCityPits. He was going to check it out. He seems to have some influence. I hope he roots out the problem.

I spoke to an investigator at the Humane Society today. I told him about the dogs, the paraphernalia and the website and how the dogs are anywhere from 100 to 150 pounds. He said that dogs that large are mainly bred for weight pulling. He also said that pitbulls bred for fighting are no more than 45 to 55 pounds. He didn't seemed too concerned. Oh well, at least I tried.
