Last sunday, I spent 3hours at the em. vet clinic with my precious Noel. She had been bitten by a snake. I feel so bad, Because at work she had been in her play run with her new eyes Sally and when I brought them in to settle down for the night I noticed that noels elbow was swollen and I just sort of looked at it. Thinking that her and sally playing must have just bumped it. She wasn't limping so I called my supervisor at home and she told me to take her home with me. (I have to share noel with Jose' at work he gets upset if he does't get to see her sometimes, he works the night shift.) so I left a note for him. I got her all comfortable at the house. and my boyfriend(yes I am in love and thats another story for later) went to eat. came home put everyone out for last potty time. and went to bed Got up the next morning and to my surprise Noels whole leg was swollen three times the size. I rushed her to the aec. Snake bite Summer is here please do check the yards and if there is a swollen area on the pet do check further for puncture wounds. Noel is doing fine now. we opened the wounds and let them drain, alot of hotpacking and meds. But it could have been worse.

Oh, sweet Noel--I'm so glad that she is doing better!!
Kito ran after a snake once, but thankfully he was attached to me--I saw it and called him back!!!

you were so lucky, ..........for the dog to have been bitten and hours later was still alive. My sister lost a dog, but it was within a very short time from when the snake bit to when he died, but we got rotten snakes here. It was an Eastern Brown. ( sis lilves over east, of course)
