Bruised Eye???

In the white part of one of Ruby's eyes she has a fairly large brown sport. :confused: It doesn't seem to be bothering her, but it just doesn't look right and it hasn't been there before. Could it be a bruise? Have any of your dogs had something like this? I'm going to keep an eye (no pun intended...) on it and if it doesn't appear to get better within a few days I'll take her to her vet. :(

I've never seen that before..it could be possible I guess? Tell us how everything goes with her eye...

Maybe Ruby could have something in her eye thats irratating it?:confused: I dont know...

No... it's not an irritated red color, it's brown. And it's not the whole eye, just a small part of it. And it doesn't appear to be bothering her :confused: It does seem to be getting a little better though...

I just noticed...I have brown spots on my eye...(maybe my eye is part dalmation..lol). If it doesn't seem to be bothering her...maybe it's normal? Have you tried looking it up yet?

I know it's not normal since, like I said before, it was never there before & it does seem to be fading. I've tried to look it up, but didn't find much. Most info I found was about much more serious eye injuries and/or diseases, but I did find out for sure that dogs can bruise their eyes. I'm not too concerned anymore since it does seem to be going away. I just freak out when I think something may be wrong with my baby!

I'm glad to hear that it seems to be going away--I panic when there's anything different with my dogs too--even the slightest cough or whine!!

And I'm sorry, but I had to laugh when you wrote "I'm going to keep an eye on it (no pun intended)"--it cracked me up!!:)
