Okay, I try to play fetch with Max and he loves to run and fetch the ball. The only problem is that he won't bring it back. He will make me chase him which is okay sometimes. But when I let him go sometimes and need to get him back in the house he make me chase him like we are still playing. Any ideas??
new pic too!!

Oh, Max is sooooo adorable!!!!!!
About the fetch, Riley is our only dog who will bring the ball back, and I bribed him to do it with treats. Kito just looks at it when I throw it, like "if you want it, why did you throw it in the first place?", Abbey will bring it back, but won't give it to me.

Not all dogs care for the full fledge came of 'fetch". Most at best will retreive it maybe a couple times but then loose interest.
I would bribe some dogs with treats.
Teach him the command "Get It" or "Fetch" This means to pick up whatever object you are refering to in his mouth. You don't even have to throw it in order for him to learn this part. Just put it like a couple feet away from you, tell your dog to get it, and call him back to you, while waving a small peice of a treat he really likes. Hopefully he will come back you.
Eventually you can work with throwing it and having him bring it back to you. And as he gets better, slowly decrease the amount of times you actually give him a treat for bringing it back. But always give him lots of praise when he does a good job!

That is a very beautiful dog! I don't have any good advice. One of my dogs will run to the ball, sniff it and walk back to me. Fetching came natural for the other two. Roxy tries to teach Dusty to fetch sometimes. She'll get the ball and bring it to Dusty. She tries to encourage him to play. It's cute.
