Oh she is gorgeous! In that second pic you can really see her beautiful pink coloring. oooo! aw, im so sorry to hear she likes your husband more. that is one of the reasons why we got a caique, because they dont get attached to one member of the family more than another, unless its only by a little tidbit. :p lol again jo is looking great, thanks for the pics! ill be looking forward to more! :D

Thanks for your kind words ...... *sniff*, even tho Jo doesn't love me!!! *sniff*

As for the pinkness, she has gotten pinker over the last few months, I think because she is CLEAN and preens herself constantly. She is no longer left outside in the cold!!! (those people make me so mad still!!!).

She is a pretty bird ............. and BOY does she KNOW it!!!

Pics tonight ..... promise.:p

Oooooooooooooooooh what a SWEET SWEET baby! That picture makes me want to hug that pink ball of fluff! AWWWWWWWW! I LOVE HER! Thanks SO much, and I can't WAIT to see the other pics you have yet to post! :D Such a sweetie! Sorry to hear she likes your husband more than you. A lot of birds have the tendency to choose a *favorite.* Even though cockatiels get along well with everyone in the family, even they have their favorites, and in our case, Popcorn's favorite is my brother, and Muffin keeps changing her favorite between me and my mom. They love all of us, but they give their favorites special treatment.

Ps. Can I make your long promised sig now or should I wait for the rest of the pics? ;)

Popcornbird - hang 10 on the signature. Got the pic I want to use of Jo at home. When I post it, I will send you the pics I want to use (if that is ok?)

Jo is tempramental tho. Most days loves hubbie, but every now and again, she will only come out of her aviary if I go and get her. She only visits the aviary on the weekend, only during the day. She comes in at night.
She sits at the aviary door ..... and when you got to fetch her, she runs away to the back of the aviary ....... :p ..... until you walk away, and she comes back ...... waiting.

Spoilt birdie ............. :p

Sure, that's just fine. :) Gosh I just LOVE your birdie. Don't worry, my birdies are spoiled too. :p They're allowed to do just about anything and get loved instead of getting in trouble. :p

Your husband must be delighted at the fact that Jo's his baby. LOL Even though she likes her daddy more, how does it feel to be a bird mommy? Its fun huh? ;)

Aly, looks like you'll end up with a cockatiel AND cockatoo. First you want a tiel, now a too. :p Guess you'll end up with mini-too and big-too. :p LOL After all, cockatiels are mini cockatoos. :D

Michelle, Jo is just BEAUTIFUL! Like everyone said, such gorgeous pink coloring. I've been trying to get pics of galahs in my backyard for PCB, but they haven't been around lately....I guess it's a spring thing.
I hadn't realized just how big Jo was until the pic of her on the newspaper! :D What a sweetheart. Good luck with gaining her love - your hubbys a lucky man to have the love of a bird, but maybe she'll come to realize sooner or later, that a clean cage is worth more than a pat of the head ;) heehee

Captain, Jo is such a pretty pink color. :D
Do you live close enough to Miss Meow to visit her? She has a very PINK kitchen that Jo would look perfect in! ;)

Also, how do your dogs like her? Do they get along with her?
About her loving your husband best, my female parakeet is in love with my husband so I know how you feel about being not much more than the cage cleaner, food provider etc.
Maybe it is a girl bird thing to like men better than women?

I'm sure it's something to do with that. My boy Lachie is besotted by my brother, though, and little girl Austin usually follows me around, so I don't know about the girl/boy thing. But there's defininitely something wiggy about the way they choose their 'favourite'. Doesn't seem to be any rule or reason!

1. Yessssssss ........ I think we might visit Miss Meows PINK kitchen. Not sure how the kitties will react tho

2. Doggies - initially Captain watched her all day and night. She could not MOVE without him being there looking into her cage. Ruby did not really care either way .......... only if Captain was getting really agitated ......... then she would go and look too.

3. I do feel loved ........... sometimes. She just LOVES hubbie - which is quite weird considering the person who mistreated her was the MAN of the house (we rescued her - if you didn't know)

......... she is still loved, no matter what!!!:D (*sigh - even if she loves hubbie more .............*):D

She is just SO cute! Such a pink darling birdie! Thanks so much for sharing, but I'd love to see more! ;);) Give her her favorite treat from me for being such a good little girl. ;)

I don't think its a girl birdie thing to like men, because my girl birdie loves me the most, along with my mom. :)

Jo is stunning!!! Thanks for making the effort to show us more pictures of her! I don't know much about birds at all, having had our two for just a little over a year now, but I do read a lot. And it seems that Cockatoos might have very strong personalities and at times can be quite aggressive. Of course, when I look at Jo, I think there is no way that pretty pink girl could be a trouble maker!!! LOL!!! But, I'm sure a bite from her could hurt!

Keep those pictures coming when you have a chance!! I couldn't be happier than knowing that she is safe and comfortable in your home. :)
