Hello all,

It's very hard to type now, so bear w/ me if I mess up on a few words.

OK anyways... for those of you who cringe (like me) at this sort of story... sorry if I make you cringe.

Today I had my sister's box-thing, and she asked me for it, so I threw it, and when my hand went in the air, it got slashed on my sister's big knife she was holding. I woke up my dad and put it under the water, and I passed out soon because of the blood. When I woke up, my dad helped me stumble into my bed and he called my mom. We then went to the ER. It was a 3 hour wait, and then finally I got in. It hurt sooo much! :( I felt ever bit of it, even with the numbing medicine. Well, I was crying soo much too. :(
Sorry for my weird form of complaining & 'seeking sorrow', but I'm not seeking sorrow or anything. I just figured that I should tell you all.
Anyway, I'm better now, and I have one of those metal things on my thumb. My mom gave me IV Profen (sp?) for it.
So if I'm not around much, it's because it gets annoying typing with my right hand only (plus the final exams are coming up!)

Toodles,
Britt :)

In my opinion, you have every right to seek sympathy! I don't deal with pain well and I'd be crying and passing out too probably.

I hope you get better soon and do good on those exams!

Yeah, you deserve some sympathy. Nothing wrong with whining when you've just been stabbed. ;)

You're young, though, and you'll heal very well. I bet you won't even have much of a scar after five years or so.

I hope it'll heal soon Britt! I did something similar a few years ago. I don't have a scar, but that finger feels a little numb where I sliced it.

Btw, if it still hurts, try pressing the tip of your finger - And keep it upwards! ;)

Chin up - and Good luck on your exam! :)

My sister wants to be a chef when she grows up. She was chopping vegitables for her soup for dinner, and when I had her box thing (forgot what it was called), she didn't put it down when she came to get it. Now she's not allowed to use knives (they were those big ones from that commericial, not a regular one) when nobody is really around.

thanks everyone :)

 ow! That must've hurt! I'm sorry to hear about your injury, hope you heal quickly.
If that happened to me, I would've passed out at the sight of blood!
Ewwww, I just remembered this. Once, my mom was chopping something, and she accidently cut her finger. The top part of her finger was sliced in half, like it was about to fall off. :p That was gross.
