GREAT NEWS!!

Just got the word that Chris may be turning the corner. He had another surgery today to clean up the stump and he may still lose more of the leg, but he has no infection in the leg and has started responding to voices. Barring complications they say his abdomen incision should be closed by the end of the week. The nurse told his wife he has a definite good chance!!! They are even talking that if he continues to improve like this they hope to medivac him home to California within a couple of weeks to begin his recuperation and therapy.

This is the most positive news we've had since the accident.

Evidently a man inside the casino (in Laughlin where the accident happened) saw the accident, came out to put a tourniquet on Chris' leg, and called the authorities. He saved Chris' life!!

In my book, whoever says that God is not watching over us is crazy!! I can't think of a better example to prove that he is watching and taking care of us.

THANK YOU AGAIN FOR YOUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS!! I can't say enough to tell you how much it means to me and to my family.

Robin - great news. Still hoping and praying he pulls through - it's going to be traumatic for him - but with his loving family to help - I've got a good feeling. {{{Hugs}}} across the miles.

Talked to my sister last night. They are closing the abdomen today and they hope to have him awake when she gets there. His wife told her yesterday the swelling is down so much he is beginning to look like himself again.

My sister is so excited! We all are!
