I am not sure if the term is actually afraid, but last night I got some catnip bubbles from Petsmart, and thought the kitties would both love it, but of course they were very curious, more hesitant about it..I blew them in the air thinking they would jump up and try to get them, but they just started walking backwards like the bubbles were gonna get them...after the bubble landed on the floor, they would paw at them, but they just didn't seem to care for them too much....any others like their catnip bubbles if you have ever tried them?

Catnip bubbles  Never heard of them. Sounds like it would be worth a try though. Are your guys young? Catnip lust often won't "kick in" until kits get a bit grown up. We need to get more dog food soon (of course:rolleyes: ) so I'll look for bubbles and give it a try.

I have the catnip bubbles too and was a little disappointed in them. The cats are more interested in the REAL THING - the leaves of the plant themselves. :) The dogs enjoy jumping up and popping the bubbles so they are being enjoyed nevertheless! ;)

I also bought catnip bubbles for my cats. I was disappointed because they'd watch the bubbles in the air, but the minute they popped on their nose or on the floor, the ran off scared.

Edwina had the catnip bubbles. She found them amusing. Watched them, chased a couple, but no wild enthusiasm....although that is Edwina's usual demenor. She thinks if she shows too much enthusiasm for something I buy for her it will go to my head......

Oh Lady Edwina, one as sophisticated as you absolutely MUST keep a certain aura about. You are my hero!

That is how my cats behave around the bubbles too. They will sit and watch them forever, but God forbid if they get any of it on their fur. I don't think they like licking the soap taste off.

They do come running (I have to do it in the basement because it makes a sticky mess) when I open the bottle, so I figure they must like them - just not on their fur.
