How did you name your pet?

I was just wondering how you named your pet, what reason, how did you think of the name... you can do it like this.:D

NAME: Digger
BREED/TYPE ETC.: Labrador Retriever
REASON: Actually I don't know, because my dad named him!:p

NAME: Chubby
BREED/TYPE ETC.: Labrador Retriever
REASON: He was the biggest one in the litter, and it fit him perfect.;)

NAME: Otis
BREED/TYPE ETC.: Pug
REASON: I thought that the pug on Milo and Otis was cute, so when I got a Pug, I was gonna name him Otis. I am glad I did!:D

NAME: Prince
BREED/TYPE ETC.: Samoyed
REASON: It took me forever to find a name for him! I bought baby books and everything. He is my little Prince, so that is how he got his name, and of course it had to suit his personality!;)

REASON: It was either Max, Blacky, or Ben. So I came up with this: Max BB King

REASON: I didn't know what to call him so I had a vote on icq with my friends & Axle won

BREED/TYPE ETC: Tiger Oscar (big fish)
REASON: Guess

NAME: Jack
BREED/TYPE ETC: Jack Dempsey (handsom fish)
REASON: Guess again

NAME: Mango
BREED/TYPE ETC: Red Devil (big mean fish)
REASON: He was orange like an orange so I named him Mango (man-go) like an orange

REASON: Because my brother wanted to name him after the beanie baby 'Rocket' that my sister had

REASON: Because of her color (sky blue)

BREED/TYPE ETC: Sheltie/dog
REASON: Because we were stuck on names and Mickey just seemed cute. He has black ears which made the name more suiting but its also because its simple and the one name nobody out of 6 people had a problem with. :D

REASON: when she was very young, she was a twit, and my fiancee felt she was an igit, so we combined the words into her name

REASON: he is gray in color, and his name is in honor of a fox terrier I once had named Ashes

Reson: We named her that cause I was looking through a name list and saying all the names out loud. you know Chuddy, Chica, Yeller, Nova and she looked so thats how she got her name. (I later found out she looked cause the mail man had come and she saw him in the window :rolleyes: )

Well some of you already know , but Ash ,well my daughter named him after Ash on pokemon, he is grey like ash, so suitable, and Lexie is after a scottish actress, she played the part of Lexie on a tv programme Monarch of the Glen, and i am scottish by birth so seemed fitting, and i love it.

Reason: Cuz my family is stupid and wouldn't let me name her Sable. Apparently she needed a "bush dog" name. >_<

Reason: My dad and stepmom wanted a cool name. One that was unique and that no other dog would have. So there ya go, a friend said that she should be named Leather, and that's her name :D

Reason: I named him after my RB gerbil

Reason: Goodness gracious, was he a fiesty one! He was so calm at first, such a sweetie, then the minute I tried to get him in the cage to take him home he flipped! Real frisky..Hence the name...He was named Little One for a while though...until I got Icarus I my gerbil, then he wasn't so little :p

Reason: Gosh, I remember being six years old, desperatly wanting to be named Sara. When I got the cat though, I named her Sara instead..It was my favourite name :)

We got her with the name. Our cousin gave her to my son and the cousin is a car nut and named her after the lexus car.

She got a real bad cold when I got her. She was living outside and when I got her she became a house bunny and caught a cold from the a/c. She had bunny snot all over her face for a few days and thats how she got her name.
