Kim
Just keep them on antibiotics. It can take a bit to get the URI to clear up! It's the same thing as when you have several children and they keep passing it back and forth. Have you got them segregated? This will help. Also, put them in the bathroom and get the room very steaming. It's like a vaporizor effect. It really helps. Good luck, I know this is stressful!

Well, it was 4am when I discovered the first sneezes, and a few little sneezes have popped out here and there, but nothing too out of the ordinary!!!! I guess time will soon tell.
The other cats are all showing slow but steady signs of improvement, which is very encouraging!!! We have now moved the ones who were in "intensive care" (my bedroom) back downstairs. We cleaned, disinfected, changed bedding, etc.... our bedroom and have moved the kittens upstairs now. They will now be right under my nose 24/7 until I'm positive they are fine!!!
Right now they are frollicking all over the bedroom (they were born up here, so it's home to them) and having the bestest time!!!
:D
Their Daddy is THE BEST Daddy in the world!!!! He took our big computer box, and cut different level windows out of it ... and you know the big styrofoam molded pieces that hold things securely in the box? He somehow placed a couple of those on angles in the box ... now it is a 3-level playhouse!!!! He also came home with a new pack of micies for the babies!!! I tell you, if love alone can heal these babies ... they will be just fine!!!!!!!

What a wonderful daddy and mommy! You hang in there and if there's anyway I can help, just let me know.

Oh no, not the kittens!!! :( I'm so sorry!!! :( :( :(
At least it's a relief the "adults" are slowly getting better, and I really hope and pray the kittens will also recover from this!
I'm so glad all these cats have such a wonderful mommy and daddy who are doing everything possible to make them feel better and to cope with the situation.
I bet when this is finally over, you'll all need a holiday!

Things sound promising Kim, fingers crossed and good luck with the kitties, my thoughts are with you, remember to take some time out for yourself when you can, even a nice long soak in a hot bubble bath with candles lit around it for that nice peaceful calming effect. good luck

Kim, I'm so sorry to hear that the kittens have started sneezing. :( Since you've caught it very early, I'm sure that with all of your loving care that they'll be just fine. It's great to hear that your other cats are improving and I'm sure that within a few weeks that all of your cats will be healthy again and all of this will finally be behind you. Prayers and positive thoughts are on the way.

Its a relief to hear that the adults are getting better. I'm sorry to hear about the kittens. I hope any infection any of them has is minor and clears up quickly. You and you husband are wonderful.

Well most of the kittens are sneezing at different degrees, and have some watery eyes, etc. I spoke with my vet last night, and discussed my plan of "attack". Went out today and bought smaller (1cc) syringes to give smaller dose injections of antibiotics and steroids to the babies. I also bought some Cat Sip milk as a hydrating "treat" (thanks Bari_d for the advice) , more dietery supplements, trying the new Whiska's pouch bites (which they LOVE) and pediatric nose drops. I also have a vaporizer ready to run as soon as the sniffles / stuffies start. I am already giving them pediatric liquid vitamins to boost their immune systems! Oh, and they have a new toy too! ;) I feel like my "arsenal" is pretty well stocked, just waiting to see how this all turns out.
Your continued prayers would be greatly appreciated!
;)

Oh no! I sure hope the kittens don't get it as bad as some of the adults seemed to have. :( But it sounds like you're "heading it off at the pass" by starting early with the antibiotics, so hopefully that will make a huge difference for them.
When this is all over and everyone is well again, go down and give your vet a hug from all of us for being so supportive to you through this whole ordeal. ;) :D
Thoughts and prayers are definitely continuing!

Oh, no! The kittens too? Well, with all the love you and daddy are giving them, they'll be fine in no time. Looking at it from a positive perspective, at least they'll have that many more anitbodies in their little immune systems ;) . Big hugs to you and daddy, love that recycling job - very creative!! Headbonks to you, and the kitties too!
