View Full Version : I got a fishtank for my room!!!!!

my dad and I ordered a little desktop fishtank for my room, and it came today! I'm so happy! It comes with everything, the filter, gravel, plants, even food! We have it all set up, too! So when I got home from dance lessons today, I went into my room, and it was all set up! I know they are just fish, but I think they are pretty cool! I will get pictures as soon as possible!:) ;)

Congtrats! Fishtank are sooo entretening, and beautiful!!!

I got a fistank as x-mas present , but didn't set up since now,. Marianu "The Turtle" was living there till now, Without the top. Now he has a tank in his own and I have a fishtank with:
6 gupys, 6 Tetra Neons, 4 platys, 1 male xipho , 1 "I don't know" , and one of those who clean the tank.
They have real plants, but I'm not happy with the decor I must to rearange it, and they chew on the plant,,,,, oh well, Bon Appetit!
Could you post a pic of your tank ??? :)

Watch out! Fish can be addicting and one tank leads to another larger one! LOL! My hubby started out many years ago with a 10 gallon tank and we currently have two very large tanks (a 60 gallon and a 75 gallon). At one point we had a 125 gallon tank, but when we rearranged the furniture it had to go because it wouldn't fit! :) Fish are like potato chips. It's hard to know when to stop! There are so many pretty ones that you just want to have one of each. ;) :D Congratulations on your fish tank and I can't want to see some pictures!

i want a fish,but my mom is scared of them....loli've had some before. i've had many fish i just don't now....my favorites i've had were my bettas.

Don't believe people when they say they are just fish. I am the proud mommy of 11 of the most adorable, personality-filled fish you would ever want to meet. They all have names and they all act a little differently. :)

Fish tanks are addictive. I started out with a 5 gallon tank 1 1/2 years ago. Now, I have a fish bowl, a 28 gallon, a 55 gallon and a 150 gallon. :eek:

You just got the tank today and you already have fish in it? The fish you have right now are just for cycling, right?


What are the currrent water parameters (Hardness, temperature, ph, etc.)?

What kind of fish do you plan to put in when you've finished cycling? I ended up getting attached to my cycling fish and just adding a few more once I was done cycling the tank...

Oh, I just ordered a fish aquarium! We went out and bought the fish at Petco!;)

Very cool! We got a fish tank last February and we love it!! :) Here's a picture:

We have three Bala sharks, one beta, one white lyretalied molly, one orange (gold) molly, three small fish (not sure what they are) and two African frogs.

Almost forgot...we have a algea eater as well.

That is an AWESOME fishtank you have there, NoahsMommy!!! Just beautiful! Where did you get it? If you don't mind me asking!;) What a GREAT picture, too!

My dad is going to take the pictures, and make them on a CD in a few minutes, ok? So you all can see my new fishies!:) ;) :D

Wow! Noah's Mommy! That is one gorgeous tank!! Is it very much work to maintain it??It looks so fresh and CLEAN!!!

Congratulations on your new tank, Lablover! Can't wait to see your pics, either!

Just OOC, what are you planning to do with the Bala sharks when they're grown? It is a MYTH that fish will only grow to the size of their enclosure, so you'll definitely need a bigger tank. What are your plans for them? A full-grown Bala Shark is a sight to see indeed! Gotta love 'em!
