We have a beagle/poodle mix so is she a boodle, a poobea or possibly a bepoo ...beadle? a dalmation/lab mix - labdal, dalab, labation? a spaniel/retriever mix, spatriever or retriespan. Once had a weimaraner/beagle mix - weimbe or weimeagle or beaweim?

This is a dog I found on Petfinder.http://www.petfinder.com/fotos/OH288.1622395.jpg

Beauty
Dog
Australian Shepherd,Basset Hound Mix

Size: Small
Age: Young
Sex: Female
I.D:

Notes: "Beauty" was a stray who found a short-term home where she's loved and cared for, but she can't live there for very long. She's a very sweet dog, but will require a new owner with much patience and gentleness so she can learn to trust again. Enjoys belly rubs and running in the yard. She's up-to-date on all vaccinations and heartworm negative. She weighs 17 pounds, has the legs of a basset and the head and beautiful black coat more like that of an Australian shepherd. Her past is unknown, but she deserves a home overflowing with TLC. She'll need to be spayed before adoption.

So I guess he is a bassaussie or an aussiet

The only one that tops that is the other basset mixed with a chow.

http://www.petfinder.com/fotos/OH180.1545622.jpg

Chance
Dog
Chow Chow,Basset Hound Mix

Size: Medium
Age: Adult
Sex: Male
I.D: 374

Notes: This beautiful boy is quite the combination! Meet Chance, a male chow/basset hound mix that is 2-3 years old and about 50 lbs. He's all chow except for his basset legs, but he's 100% darling and lovable. Chance's owner became ill, and could no longer care for him. Now he needs a new home that will treasure his uniqueness and encourage his sweet disposition.

This pet is: up to date with routine shots, altered.

And this one would be a chow chow bass or a bass chow

Missy is a mutt, the only thing I know for sure is that she has some chow in her. But some people have told me she looks like she has some lab in her and others have said cattle dog. But it doesn't really matter much to me. She's still super cute.

I saw two dogs that were supposedly dachund/lab mixes. I had a hard time believing it, but the guy swore he knew both parents. They had lab fur and coloring, lab size and shaped bodies and heads, but their legs were only a few inches long. They looked hilarious and so unnatural! He got offended because I couldn't stop laughing and staring at them.

I think Dusty is different looking too, I have never seen a dog similar to him. He's australian shephard and husky. He has short spoted fur and a fluffy husky tail.

well my girl clover is a rottweiler x red heeler (australian cattle dog), redweiller, rottheeler

she has a friend who is a husky x red heeler (as far as i can guess and im good wih my dog breeds) he is about the size of a female husky is white in colouring with the husky coat and tail, ah he has a typical heeler red patch over one eye and like to round all the other dogs up

another one of the "mutts from the park" is macca he is cocker spanial x curly retriever (plus his grandparents have lab and red setter in them) he is a bit bigger than a cocker and has a beautiful glossy cocker coat with a slight curl to it :D

golden retriever x poodle "groodle" from some idiots who breed "the new desingner dog" urgh makes me sooooooo mad they were tring to sell them for $700 (australian dollars)

cavalier x poodle "cavoodle" same "breeders"

labrador x poodle "labradoodle" " "

hmm plenty more were these came from

Hmmm, what would we call Timber? ;)

An Ausbelgerhoderian colliever? lol

Well, three of the breeds in her are shepherds...Sooo

A golden siberian rhodesian shepherd collie?

Or just skip the collie since it's also a herding dog, and have a rhodesian golden siberian shepherd?

Or a Siberian Rhodesian shepherd retriever?

Oh Gawd..

I have a friend who has a basset hound/poodle. The dog is so cute. It has the body shape. legs and tail of a basset, but the coloring is like a party colored poodle...black and white blotches..and the texture of the fur is a wavy curly poodlish coat...very cute though.

I have shi tzu/pug mix. Looks mostly like a pug with longer than normal hair..lol. His name is Bearbear. I keep him cut short as the hair is scruffy looking. But he is a fawn color like my pug Duke. He's a Shihpugtzu..lol.

Ashlee is a German Shetland.
German Shepherd and Sheltie

Nina is a Australian Shetland.
Australian Sheepdog and Sheltie.

Several years ago at a park we saw a cocker mixed with lab. One of the most beautifull dogs I've ever seen. Small lab body with long curly cocker hair, jet black.

I didn't get to see the dog but I remember reading in our Humane Soc report a couple years ago there was a Chihuaha/German Shepherd mix.
I saw on a Welsh Corgi website there was a greyhound/corgi mix.
There is a girl at work that has a Labshire. A Yorkshire terrier/Lab mix. The Humane soc told her that the people had both parents and one day while the lab (mom) was sleeping the Yorkie (dad) did............................................... .. and she ended up pregnant!
Another girl from work has a Pug/Cocker Spaniel mix.
And someone was just mentioning today that they heard of/wanted to see a Dalmation/Bassett Hound mix.

I just remembered on PetFinder a couple times I saw a Boxer/Irish Setter mix. I would have LOVED to have her. She was breathtaking.

Hey there,

I'm new to this site, and I see that no one has posted on this thread in quite some time. However, I don't know where else to go with this question because no one seems to be able to give me a clear answer- including the people I adopted my dog from!

I just got a nine month old puppy, and I was told he was a "Papillon/Terrier" mix, but I have heard a thousand different breeds since then from other people. I have honestly never seen another dog like him. If you have any idea what breeds he may be, please tell me.

I've included a link because I don't know how to upload a picture from my computer.

Any input is greatly appreciated!

Papillon mixes aren't very common -- I'd say it's more likely to be something else. It could be a mix of many different breeds, but if I had to choose two I'd say bichon/chihuahua. Chihuahua not just because of the ears, but also the light pigment. Of the small breeds that look similar, I see mostly chihs with red noses, light pigment around the eyes, and light eyes.

Husky_mom

I too see a bit too much Poodles with light pigment..

chi.. poodle.. my guess

See Miss Scarlet (http://DogoftheDay.com/archive/2000/November/18.html) - any resemblance to your pup?

She was a Pomacockachipoo (her psychic says her mother was a Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix and her pop was a Cockapoo!)

Since this thread has been dormant since 2005 I will post about Koko a
chocolate lab/golden retriever mix. hybrid name ...Golden labrador ...........
When people ask what she is i just say "pretty brown dog". The older she
gets the more she looks like a chocolate Golden Retriever. She has the
disposition of a Golden also.

When I saw this, I thought of an episode of Judge Judy.

A woman, BACK YARD BREEDER was suing her brother who had two of her supposedly purebred dogs. Mix of Papillon, Chihuahua and something else. She SWORE these dogs were purebred, according to...get this. "The National Purebred Dog Association".

Judge Judy laughed and said, the dogs were mutts, and there is no such thing at the National Purebred Dog Association.

She tossed the case out. Good for her!!
