For my breed of dog? for goldens i would have to say Chealsea. And for collies ,i would have to say......Lassie!;) :)

i think everything that cocker_luva listed plus Max...more and more people are coming up with creative names..and human names...it's better than having 5 fido's on your block

I was noticing the other day at the dog park that names are very regional as well. In Tucson it seem like every dog is named Sienna, Sierra or Luna.

for pomarianians i have no clue although i don't think beanie is all that popular.lol......i have a thing for unusual names for my pets such as green,porkie,belfagore,jesus,just to name a few.....i've also had registered dogs.their reg. names were porkie the dorkie yorkie, mama'sthorn of a rosie, dusty as a bluebell.....i think the most popular name for every breed is Buddy,i've seen so many dogs named buddy.

i do not know if it is, but if it isnt it should become popular, Sandy for shelties if they are sable or tri-colored, since their fur can look like the color of sand.

today, kai was playing with our new neighbor's lab. I was still at my yard, and I heard them refer to him as lassie. I hate that...lassie is cool and all but Kai is a totally different breed...plus...not all shelties or collies are named lassie. I don't know why..it's just a peeve i have.

Most people refer to Shelties, Collies as Lassie that must get really anoying!
