Welcome Blade5. I think may this should be posted in the Dog section and maybe you will get more responses. I only have cats so I'm sorry I can't offer any advice. Maybe some other PT'ers will be able to assist.

I moved this to Dog Behavior.

What kind of dog?

How old is the dog?

How long have you had it?

How long has this been a problem?

Firstly..make sure whenever Copper does it again, make an "OUCH!" sound..or something you know he won't like and for him to know that he's hurting you. When he stops, praise him. Be VERY consistant with this. Eventually he'll learn that nipping is a NO-NO.

I think we need a little more information about your dog before anyone can offer anymore advice. Please respond and tell us some more about your dog, and I'm sure someone can help you. However, I think that the advice already given is good, but maybe we can help out a little more.

Welcome blade5! i happen to pretty new too. what i suggest is that you firmly say "No!" to your dog. It always works with mine. Is you dog a pup? cause if it is, nipping is ussually normal for pups, but you should still say no to it to make sure it doesnt happen when he/she is an adult.:D :D

i know this may sound stupid but when your dog nips you squeel like a puppy and he will think he's hurting you
