Huney has been having some bad knee problems latly and will be going to the vet soon. She will be running and then all of the suden only be using 3 legs. Its like her knee dislocates or something. We are all very worried. Today she was playing at the creek and she was chasing the other dog and she began to limp really bad. We endd up packing up and takeing them home. She walked fine when we got home but she was definilty not ok at the river. :( We hoping that it is only something minor. I guess poms are prone to knee problems and alot of them have knee surgery, we're hopeing this is not the case for our little baby.

Please keep her in you thoughts and prayers.

Thank you,
Ashley and Huney's Mom Abbey

Of course we will keep little Huney in our prayers. She has to stay healthy, so she can be with her boyfriend Casey (did you see that I posted some new pictures of him under Dog General, Ash?)
I hope it is nothing serious--let us know what the vet says.

Awww! Poor Huney.
I will be thinking only good thoughts that her knee
is all-right. Fingers and toes crossed that
the vet only has good news.

I hope the vet finds out what's wrong with Huney, and I hope it's not anything serious. I'll be keeping her in my prayers.
Let us know what the vet says.

The vet said that Huney's knee is sliding out of place. He could give her surgery but it will conly cause her more pain and she may not be able to walk on it after surgery and may never walk on it again because of the surgery. It puts them in so much pain that they don't even want to move. If she doesn't have surgery, her knee will pop out of the socket and stay like that for the rest of her life. It will not cause her pain, joint problems, arthritois or make it so she can't walk when she gets older. The only "problem" she will have is bow legs because of the knees. As far as I know we will not be doing the surgery. ALthogh it is up to my sister I'm sure she won't put Huney through pain for no reson.

So, thats the newest news.

Well, if that's the case I wouldn't have the surgery done either.

I'd rather have a bow legged dog than one who couldn't or wouldn't walk because of the pain.

Give her a big hug from mehttp://www.cutefamilypets.com/graemlins/bighug.gif

The vet acctually said that the family will notice because we look for it and expect it. Where if you were to walk up to us on the street and look at her, you wouldn't notice at all.

Huney says thank you for the hug!!

I wouldn't do the surgery either--sounds like your minds are made up!!!
If she isn't in pain, why bother her--great news!!!:D

Sounds like the best thing here is to do nothing! If it won't bother her and she would be in more pain if she has the surgery sounds like you have made the right decision.

if all she is going to have is a little bow legs....who cares as long as she is out of pain!:D

M ysister wants a second opinio cause it sounds weird to her. Which, I have to agree it sounds kinda weird. So were going to get a seonc opnion, if it makes her feel better about her decision then we will, we definitly do not want her to think "What If" for the rest of her life.

My mom left out a part when she was talking to me. My vet said that He would have the surgery done if it was him, but he wouldn't have ot pay anything so it didn't matter about the money. He said it will make her feel better because he knee wil always be a little bit bothersom to her but it will never be any pain to her. So, my sister is thinking about doing the surgery. Me and her are going in to talk to him our selves so we can find out what is really going on and what he thinks. We also are going to get a second opnion. So, thats whats hapening I will tell you more after our next vet apointment.
