When I was out garage saling today, I came across a couple who were moving and had to give away their cats. I wanted them so bad! One had the looks, and the other had the charm. they were the perfect pair! TJ was such a sweetie, she was a big fat tabby cat and such a sweetheart. Ricky was a beautiful white cat with a gray striped tail, a gray head and a big gray spot on his back. He had one blue eye and one green eye. I was so hooked, and I carried him around everywhere lol. My mom said I couldn't have the cats :( I was so sad :(
Just thought I'd speel on you all..

Why would people give their pets up at a garage sale ? :(
Surely they need to interview people & charge a good price, to ensure their animals get the best possible home ?
PS. It is a shame they had to give up their cats but I am angry as it sounds like they are treating these cats like items

I know :( Here it's impossible to get rid of cats unless there free though, and even then it's really difficult. I see the same adds in the paper every week, free adult cats. It's so sad...It would help our Spca alot if people wanted adult cats :(
And yes, these people didn't seem very interested in the welfare of their cats  Although I'm glad that they were deciding on an owner themselves instead of letting the Spca do it for them..They just seemed like they didn't really care. I would be dieing inside and outside if I had to give up Sara..

i know what u are saying it would be a case of OVER MY DEAD BODY that my cats would be given away, well take heart at least they were trying to find homes for them, and not dumping them like some people do .:)

I can't believe that people don't take responsibility for their cats! Now that I have Pixel, I won't part with her for anything! There will always be a unit or house somewhere that will allow pets. Furthermore, if I moved interstate, I would take her with me ... it is FREE for a cat to travel with a human passenger and only $90 for a cat to travel without a human passenger (that's about $50 American)
