I have fish, a cat, and dogs and it really depends on which is best. It all depends on what kind of companionship you want and how much time you have to devote. Obviously fish take the least amount of time. A dog generally takes more time and commitment than a cat does. To me, they are all great. The fish give my apartment a relaxing atmosphere and they are fun to watch. That cat and dogs are so fun to play with and great company!
