Bubbles, bubble nest :)

My betta Bubbles makes the HUGEST bubble nest on the top of the water. it covers the hole top. I have to ruen it to feed him :eek:. does anyone know why he is doing this? I have had soooo many bettas in my life and he is the first that has done it. I think he is trying to attrack a mate maybe? I dunno. help! ;) thanks

Yep! Males build bubble nests to attract mates. Jango has a good size bubble nest right now that I sadly have to ruin (he needs his water changed).

If his is covering the opening then he must want a mate BAD! ;) :D

I swear it is HUGE I have to ruin it ever night because it is so big the food wont sink for him to eat it just settles on the bubbles. :eek: lol I have to take a pic of it one day lol. he makes a new one ever day lol
