I read somewhere that plastic dishes aren't good for dogs to drink out of because the plastic slowly decomposes and can infect the water, and that bacteria gets on plastic easier.
So why haven't I ever seen metal water bottles for small animals?! I would like to get the rats some..
Has anyone ever seen any before?

As long as you give the babies fresh water daily you won't have to worry about bacteria. Th chlorine in the tap water will take care of anything that might start growing ectc...:)

Well, the site did say that even if you clean the bowl it would still decpmpose, and that the chemicals in the plastic could harm the dog?
I'll try to find the site, but I can't remember what I was looking up in the first place lol. I always seem to stumble upon these things by accident

Max has a cermac dish & a big pail thats changed every year or so... I've had Max for 9 yrs now & he has no health problems that could be avoided by any means, its caused by old age only.
