Blaze has joined Jazz at Rainbow Bridge

I would like to thank all of you who were praying for sweet Blaze. He lost his battle yesterday (Easter) and joined his Aunt Jazz at the rainbow bridge after a battle with lymphoma. It seemed the chemo was working a few weeks ago and he started eating again for a few days. Then he stopped again. He was 79 pounds when he got sick and was only 48 pounds when he passed. It was sad.

Kathi and Bob are devestated. They really tried all they could to get him better again. He was only 5 years old.

My concern is Dixie will be a sad reminder when they see her. Dixie was Blaze's sister and Aunt Jazz's neice. Please say a prayer that seeing Dixie will give Kathi and Bob sweet memories of their two loved furkids and not saddness. I love them dearly and couldn't stand it if having my girl around would bring sadness to them.

Play with joy again sweet Blaze until we meet you again at the bridge!

Oh, Candy, this is horrible news. I think we were all in hopes and prayer that Blaze would improve and get better. Please let Kathi and Bob know that we will be thinking of them. I think Dixie will remind them, eventually, of good memories of those precious Goldens that they have lost.

I know he is healthy running around at the bridge--I hope he finds MacDuff--my parents' golden who is there also--they will be running around like pups again.

I am so sorry for you, Bob and Kathi :( Blaze fought hard. He really tried to get better. I can imagine Bob and Kathi are becide themselves with grief and pain, especially so soon after Jazz passed. Oh Candy, reading this very sad news stunned me and sent chills through my body. I felt like the wind had been knocked out of me. We were all hoping and praying for his winning this battle. What a brave, brave, boy he was. He fought the best fight but God must felt his beauty, his gentle spirit, his loving heart was much needed at the Rainbow Bridge. Oh Candy, this is so sad. I didn't check PT yesterday and when I opened Dog Health today, hoping to get good news about Blaze, I found your devastating post instead. I'm so, so sorry for you, Kathi and Bob. Please know that you are all in my thoughts, although there are no words that can help much under these circumstances.

Oh Candy.. what can I say? I'm so sorry I couldn't reply immediately, the pain is still so real with Cody that when I read about dear, sweet, brave Blaze, I thought my heart would break in two. I really thought he'd do well on the Chemo, I'm so sorry it wasn't meant to be. I totally sympathize with Kathi and Bob, I honestly feel their loss and devastation; it's unbearable.
