He looks just as sweet to me as the purebred, and I don't think it matters one way or the other. If you love him, that's enough!

It doesn't matter but since your curious, I think that he's a purebred. Plus, if he is from a breeder, wouldn't he be a pure? Unless she was a BYB?
I think he's pure. I'm actually at my cousin's now..and there's a shitzu here...she looks just like yours

well Of corse I love him to bitz and my mom woldent trade him for the world. I was just curious. I think the breeder was full of crap to tell you the truth, EVERY shih tzu I see has long hair and had a smushed face :D. but not Oscar his nose is out and his hair doesnt grow very long only about 2 inches on his body and 5 on his tail and face.
We just payed ALOT of money for a pure bred. WE love him none the less though, it is just the fact that we payed over $500.00 for a shih tzu not a mut, ya know?

Mickey is priceless. I hate having to think we paid money for him. It's like your paying for a new brother. Anyways, he costs about 500$ but the breeder gave us a basket of toys and food and she gave us extra stuff. She was so nice. lol :D

He looks purebred, but if you think he's a mix i think maybe lhasa apso.

I Know! I know!
My friend here has a Shih-Tzu, she is an expert she says the legs are to long for it to be a Shih- Tzu and the chest is to wide. She says that its definitly a mix probably with a Lhasa Apso. Hope I was some help!- Layka

I would have said pure, but I guess you got your answer. My advice....just love him and don't worry about it. I agree with prima....they are all priceless.
