Mickey's been chewing on his tail. Is it okay to do this or should I try to get him to stop? I heard little things like this can develop into a compulsive disorder. Is it serious or am I worrying for nothing? Thanks :)
I'm not sure actually...I think it's probably your best bet to stop it. I see no harm in stopping.
Poor Mickey,
I hope he does not have an allergy.
If he is being obsessive/or and making his skin irratated
you might want to check it out.
(they also have products for scratching such
as Scrathex and Sulfhodene (sp) depending on what
the cause is.)

Well, he hasn't done it often. Just, this morning I put him on my lap and he started chewing on his tail. I pushed it away and he went back to it. But since then he hasn't touched it. I'll try to keep it away form him though. Thanks! :D

Glad he hasn't touched his tail again. :)

I agree, i would discourage him from chewing, but he may have allergies or need his anal glands expressed.
