my dog Tikeya *in my sig* doesnt mind Fuzzy *my cat* at all, she is so nice to him.

I dont get it, because when I got another cat that was declawed she attacked it. How does that make sence? But yet when I went over to the cats house and brought Tikeya with me to visit, Tikeya didnt even care about the cat.

I dont know why but I guess Fuzzy is the only cat in the world she can get along with. ?? does any one eles have this odd problem?

What did you own first? The dog or the cat? If you already had the cat when you got the puppy, then the dog grew up with the cat around and would figure that is just how the house is run. No big deal. However, new cats would be different and animals that he/she did not grow up with, hence the problem. Just a possibility.

I don't have cats, just 3 dogs, but I would have to agree 100% with what G Diddy said, if that is in fact the case.

To add to what was already said, Tikeya was probably fine with that other cat because it wasn't on her territory.

Looks like Tikeya is a husky? In my experience, the stronger the pack instinct in a breed (and there sure is a lot in Huskys) the more likely they are to like animals in their pack (such as your cat) and be less open to dogs not in the pack (the other cat).

My dogs (GSDs) are like that. Their pack is fine, but they're not so sure about animals outside the pack,
