running away!

How can I teach my dog to come back when he is called?? Every time I let him offleash he runs away!:rolleyes:

i think you should practice on a leash and every now and then lengthen the leash and call him to you. Then, when you think hes ready, and your ready, try taking him off the leash and see what he does, remember try to keep him mind occupied like maybe have treats in your hand to make him stay closer to you!:) Oh, and welcome to Pet Talk!:D :)
