Really strange. now that spring is here my cat likes to stare out the windows and watch the birds.

I've noticed something very odd. she makes rapid mouth movements at the birds making a 'lapping' sound. she does this every-time she hears a bird tweet.

One day i was spying on her and was shocked to see a whole flock of birds sitting on the window ledge outside from her. What in the world is going on? Is my cat communicating with the birds?! Are they planning a rescue like in the movie 101 Dalmatians??

Has anyone else experienced this??

it seems very odd to me, r u sure there isnt a bird feeder near by?

my cat controls the bird, he desides if he is going to chase them away or not lol.

no bird feeder and we never get this many birds around our place in the first place. it's eerie in a cute way.

Your kitty does what I call "chattering" to the birds. Every cat I've had does this when they see a bird, it's very cute isn't it?
Check out this site, especially "bi-lingual", Annie does a pretty good chatter!!

As far as the flock of birds by the window - I have no idea! I did have ONE bird come and sit by our window almost daily and I swear he was TAUNTING my cat!!
