how long before your pets we posted?

Just wondering what the normal wait time was for the majority of you before your pets photo had been chosen as the pet of the day???I've been waiting just over two months...

Well, I sent in my first submission in Sept 2002, and 4 more after that and none have been chosen. I assume they get ALOT of entries. I guess my pictures weren't as good as others.

I've been a member for a little over a year now and none of mine have been chosen yet. They do have many many entries so it takes quite a while to be chosen. I haven't bothered to enter my new cat Cirrus yet. To me all 3 of my cats are the COTD. :)

It was quite a while for Abby (http://catoftheday.com/archive/2001/July/28.html), I think I sent her picture in Feb. or Mar, and she was chosen in July.

I never bothered to send in my kitties pics...why make Karen and Paul have to change over the entire site to accomodate them all, all the time? My guys are COTD each and every day. In fact, I am thinking of submitting my own picture, to be HOTD!!!

I sent in pics of my cat, but they were too blurry. Just last week I sent in some of my rat, but they haven't been put up yet :( I wonder how many entries they get? :confused: Anyone know?

I have sent in SOO many pics, of hamster, dogs, and bird. NONE have been picked :(..

It usually takes longer than 2 months, so you really must be patient. :D

It took a year before Jack was chosen. Ali has never been selected.

It took a long time for Noah to be COTD as well. I just nominated Noel last month. It takes a while, I know Paul and Karen must get a lot of entries.

I think that once I see Noel, I'll submit Basie and the others.

As so many others have said, our own kitties are always COTD in our hearts. That's one of the reasons the board is so popular - none of us has to wait to be chosen. (After all, with only 365 days in a year, there's plenty of wonderful adorable kitties who might not be chosen, at least not right away)

Here we can post pics and tell stories and always know that there are wonderful people just waiting to tell us how cute our kitties are.

I remember being a little shy when I first posted pics of my kitties. But then right away there were replies back telling me how pretty and wonderful my kitty was. I was so touched.

So Henderson, if you haven't already, post some pics and tell us about your kitty or kitties here on the Cat General board and get ready to be blown away by all the wonderful and sincere compliments:D

I was quite lucky and Mini and Jasmine were COTD within a couple of months of nomination (Karen's hard drive went kaput last year and a lot of nominations were lost so I managed to re-send them at the right time :))

I haven't nominated the other two as I feel more than fortunate as it is. As the others have said, every day is cat of the day!
