I just don't know what is going on with my Sadie girl!!! The past 3 days she has had really runny messes inthe house. At first I thought it was the green beans I having been giving them to try and help Cincy lose weight, but I haven't given her any of those in two days. She is eating and drinking fine, not lethargic, no vomitting, just messy!!!

I just took a sample to the vet and should hear something inthe next hour or so...please keep fingers and paws crossed it is just an upset tummy!

Aw, poor Sadie:(
Abbey had some of those "runny messes" the other night--she was normal otherwise, but every so often she HAD to get outside.
She went to bed that night, and has been fine since.
Fingers and paws crossed for Sadie--let us know!

Well, there is a cause for Sadie's problems...she has Clostridium. It is a bacterial infection of the intestines and ahouls be easily treatable with antibiotics...so now she gets two diffent ones, one 3 times/day and one 2/per day. What fun for her!!!

Really not sure. The vet said it can be passed between dogs through feces and she is sometimes a poop eater, so it is possible she got it at Dayschool, the DogPark, etc. It can also be picked up in soil, and she loves to chew on grass, so she may have gotten it that way. Who knows...dogs will be dogs and get into what they can!

Great news that Sadie will be back to normal in no time! Better whip out the peanut butter/cheese/goodies for those nasty (but necessary) ole pills!!! Cody was great at doing a "Killi"..eat the entire treat, yum yum, lick tongue and sharp shoot the pill clear across the room!!! :D

I can't believe that you wrote - "we have solid poop" Did I ever write that about you when you got over a bout of diahrea. I don't think so!!!!

Glad to hear Sadie is doing better. How are things going with Graham and Kersey?

You think that is bad...you should have been here for my "Poop Partol" thread last year!

Guess I'm just glad there were no "Kid Talk" websites (or even an internet?) when I was a baby!!!

Grham and Kersey are doing well. We've been up since 6 and all the dogs were playing outsidde (Sadie, Spot and Kersey running laps, Graham barking at them, and Cincy ignoring them all, playing ball with me!) They are all tired and crashed around the living room now. I'm sure they'll be ready for some more running here soon!

Thanks Amy. I just checked out that Poop patrol thread and have to say it was very enlightening. A little sickening too. Although I pick up a heck of a lot of poop, I can't say I have spent that much time checking out what was in it. Just think what I might have missed!!!! It boggles the mind.

Back to Graham and Kersey. Did they have a good first night? Where did everyone sleep?

They all slept in our room!!!

Yesterday I bought two new beds cause they were on sale at Target and Sadie' s was pretty tore up and Cincy's bed is really too small for her :) So Cincy slept on on of the new beds, Sadie and Spot started with us, and Graham and Kersey slept in their beds, at the foot of ours.

Sometime around 3 am, Kersey joined us and I'm not sure if it was before or after that, that Sadie moved to the other "new" bed on the floor.

Yep, things are going well here...although we are keeping Sadie inthe kitchen this week, "just in case" Once she finshed up her meds on Friday she will again enjoy freedom!

I have a few pics to take to finish my roll...maybe tonight :) Course then I gotta get the developed and to get them on CD means Thursday...but there will be pic this week!!!

Spot has decied he wants some "health news" attnetion too! Yesterday we noticed a sudden appearance of a large "lump" under his skin on his front "shoulder" It is ot causeing him any pain and seems to be getting smaller with benydryll ( and daytime rest today?) Right now we are hoping it is a reaction to ta bug bite, but if it isn't gone in a day or two he may be making atrip to the white coats himself :)
