I was just editing my profile, and I noticed that there is now a line for you to put in a picture of yourself. :) I always wonder what everyone looks like, so take advantage of it, and put in a picture of yourself with your pups. :)

I may see about getting a more current picture, that one is several years old.

Well, now Kim.. I saw your post on whether to get the other dog, and now that I know her name is Angel (my name as well) I must say you should DEFINITELY get her! Kia would love a playmate.. cats don't make very good ones for fun loving dogs. I don't know if there really is a better time to get a second dog or not. There is always a transition period that might be rough (unless you are very lucky) But since Kia is still new then this might be a good time - that way the two might grow together in their new environment. I am no specialist in this field. Those are just my novice thoughts. Good Luck.

Where in Illinois? Is it a shelter and does it have a website? I'm thinking of taking Kia to the local shelter so she can pick her new companion if she likes them.

I wouldn't have the time to drive there during the week, but I could consider it for a weekend depending on where in Illinois it was.

I'd hate to drive all that way and have Kia hate the newbie.

Any info on Smokey would be most welcomed.

PS: All the GSDs I've met are wonderful dogs. My parents adopted a GSD mix a decade ago and still mourn her early death from cancer--she was so smart and such a sensitive creature.

The picture of Hannah and Tucker just reminded me of an old movie and they both looked so poised and beautiful so I made the connection to two of the most famous and poised actors of that time. Wow, we are all so critical of ourselves huh? Well, I for one think that you are all beautiful - as it has been said on this topic over and over again. I am just as critical of myself so I know how everyone feels. But, in the long run, we are all blessed with our families and dogs, and of course blessed to be a part of this board and have the cyber friends that we have. I have never felt so good about something as I do about Dog of the Day and Pet Talk. You all give me the warm fuzzies everyday! In 100 years our looks won't matter. It is our souls....and you ALL have wonderful souls on this board. Our dogs and cats could care less what we look like anyway, right? That is why we love them so much... they are not critical of anyone!

Well how do u get your picture on Webshots?

I have pictures on webshots but its not working for me. You right click on the picture and then on properties then get the url, right?

I enlarge the picture then click on the photo, right click on properties, then the address and then copy.
Sometimes it takes a couple of tries to get the properties highlighted and for copy to come up. It took me a while to get it down.
