My gerbil, Part rat??

My mom says my gerbil has rat in it, she says it doesnt look like a normal gerbil. :(.. I like rats but I wanted a gerbil. here is a pic of my gerbil in his tank, what do you think?? Do you think it is a croos between a rat and a gerbil? I hope not. :confused:

I didn't think it was possible for a gerbil to mate with a rat :confused:

No a gerbil and rat cannot mate.

It is a gerbil and very cute too.
