Oh my I am so happy to be able to start this congratulatory thread today! Puce you are quite the blend of my own two poodles, with the coloring of my Bella and the size of my Ripley. You are just too precious lying there on your human's bed and living the life of a spoiled princess which is as it should be. :) I am familiar with the "happy dance" that you little cuties do as my Ripley also does that. You are just a delight little Puce and I congratulate you on being Today's Dog! Woof! Woof!

Hello all!

Thanks for all your sweet comments concerning my little Puce.

I had no idea Dog of The Day had a forum, I stumbled upon it just now.

Puce's nomination had been sent in several months ago. I had thought that the good people at Pet of The Day would be sending me a note to let me know that she had been chosen. That was not the case, so it was not until May that I realised my doggie had been chosen.

Unfortunately, Puce made the list posthumously... She was hit by a car in March. We were all so sad. I still miss her like crazy!

It was certainly a lovely surprise for me to find her sweet little mug online a few weeks ago, and even more so now that I've read all your generous greetings.

Please give all of your pets a good cuddle from me today...

Oh Melanie I am so sorry to hear of Puce's passing! My heart goes out to you in your loss. {{{{hugs}}}} It is normally the practice of our moderators here at Pet Talk to advise a Dog/Cat/Pet of the Day's person in advance of their upcoming appearance on the site. I am sorry you could have not enjoyed Puce's day at a happier time. :(
