I'm so mad!

I took Emma and Louise for their annual vet visit today, and also took Cassie, I wanted to have her checked because she still open mouth breathes, just occasionally. the vet said she appears fine, and she does act normal at home, I could have got x-rays done on her, but I thought as long as she acts normal there is no need, unless she starts doing that more.
anyway, both Emma and Louise have gingivitis! no tartar, but bad gingivitis. the vet gave me some stuff to treat it.. not going to be easy but I guess I better find a way or they could lose their teeth!

and I forgot to mention this last time Cassie was at the vet, but, we were talking about it today, it is likely that Cassie was pregnant when I adopted her, the lady said oh shes just in heat, but I have always had the feeling that she had kittens, or else she was pregnant when they did the spaying! and then you know what happend to the kittens!:mad: :mad: the vet says they may not have known, but I doubt that! it REALLY makes me SO:mad: :mad: because I would have taken her anyway, but they wouldn't let her go till she was spayed. damn it I would have waited and taken all of them, and kept the kittens or found homes for them when they were old enough, they didn't have to kill them!:mad:

I was surprised, Louise weighs 9.7 pounds, I would have thought she weighed less. Emma was 11 pounds and Cassie was 10 pounds.:)

It is a sad thing to abort the kittens...BUT...the Humane Society here will not adopt a pet out until it has been spayed/neutered. There are SO many irresponsible pet owners out there, they have no way of knowing how responsible YOU are as one. I would rather have it this way, than someone adopt and not spay and then there's all the more cats/kittens without homes and reproducing. It's too bad this had to happen to you though.

I agree with you completely, they have no way of knowing, I don't blame them at all for the rule about spaying/neutering. but I do blame them for the killing of the kittens, and i think it can be easily figured out if a cat is pregnant?

I feel so bad for Cassie, that they did that to her babies.
I would have taken them too if they had told me she was pregnant, I guess they thought I might back out..who knows.
thats the (in)humane society for you!
