He was also 14 years old. It happened very quickly.

frisky is ok. they said he could live 4-5 more yrs. it was just an UTI but the medicene or the new food he's eating is giving him the runs....:eek: frisky turns 14 on saturday. so it was close to the age of your cat too.

Lacy, a lot of times the antibiotics will cause Diarrhea in kitties. I guess they suggest feeding him some yogurt to help that situation. I'm so glad it was only a UTI.

Tubby was diagnosed with chronic kidney failure when he was about 14 or so. Since they caught it in its early stages, we have been able to control it and he is doing great now at 16 1/2, so Frisky should have quite a few years left in him.

Spot, our female B/W domestic shorthair - was 12 when she almost died of kidney failure. She was very disorientated. She recovered with treatment and lived six more fiesty years. She also lost pounds and looked like a younger cat. She had to be put to sleep in the end. A life worth prolonging though as she brought us much joy and happiness. 1979 -1997. :)
