Why do you think they're hard to find? I've seen several around where I live, my cousin owns one where she lives, (Alabama) ... what do you mean?

This Gabby my SIL's bichon. She is about 6 yrs old. My neighbors have two and we have had classes with 2 others...I'm not sure what you mean hard to find?

The breed is extremely popular here in California.

We groom bichons and bichon mixes quite often.....well, certainly not as often as poodles, shih tzus, schnauzers, etc. but I've seen quite a few. I think they are gaining in popularity. :)
My boy is a Poodle/Bichon mix.
I agree they are very hard to find in rescue, but I still have seen a few in rescue.

Not around here where I live.Never saw any in pet-stores or in the paper.I love those dogs.someone told me there hard to find. In rescues there up in years plus I don't like how they investigate you and your home.

The rescues investigate you and your home so much because they want to make sure that you have a suitable home and lifestyle for the dog...in other words they are looking out for the welfare of the dog.

My neighbor has one named Max, who she rescued from the SPCA, and a man my husband works with also has one, her name is Abby. I haven't met Abby, but Max is a sweetie!!

That's what I think mine is too. His mom was the poodle, and the owner SAID the dad was a pom, but I really can't see it. Looks bichon to me.

Yuppers, actually, he got clipped that same day :) But it was a new groomer and she clipped him like a terrier, but ah well. He's still cute, hehe

Wow, I've never heard that they are hard to find. Somebody in our neighborhood has one that ended up by our fence one day. I assume they got the pup back though because I've never seen it since. Plus, my husbands friend back home has one. He's a great dog. Very friendly and playful, yet calm and laid back! I think they're great little dogs!
