View Full Version : how about your LEAST faverite breed?
it's a hard thing to think about. but i'm sure i could find a few...
beagles-i'v had a beagle i just don't like the stature.
labs-i do like choclate labs
golden retrivers-it wouldn't be the first breed i choose.
that's pretty much it. just thought it might be an intresting subject.

True TheAntiPam.
I like all breeds but the ones I don't see myself getting are Chi's or MinPins (they're really cute but I don't like small small dogs for me). That's about it.
i agree people make bad dogs!

There are several breeds I cant see my self getting such as:
cocker spaniels. I have had them befor and they were impossible to house train and they ate everything. *the onse I had anyways*
min pin, chihuahuas, greyhounds, whippets, or spaniels.
umm.... Let me think.. I would never get a shih tzu or a lhasa apso, poms, shelties, poodles *of any kind*, because they all need to much grooming.
, bernese mountain dogs, saint bernards, malamutes, great danes. Because they dont live long and they are too big.
EDIT: I would also like to add that i dont like the dachund breed much becauze they are like lil weiners. :p. I just wouldent own them ....
I hate Chow Chow's.
But, that's only because I was chased by one walking to school when I was like 7. It was scary. And that memory has always stayed with me... who knows, maybe someday I'll love the breed.

I like all breeds, but I couldn't see myself with most breeds of small dogs, like poodles, shitzus, lhasas or any terrier.
The small dogs I probably can live with are beagles, basset hounds, shiba inus, dacshunds, and a few others. But they don't suit my life style.
ya there are 4 chows that live down the road. they are soo mean. i would have to say i hate chows also, but i did help save 1 the other day. it was in a litter of 5,but i could only take one. i gave her to a person that i had seen walk her dogs, they seemed in verry good condition. i asked her if she would like to have it,she siad yes.
I LOVE SAVING DOGGIES!!!:)
I think there are more breeds that I like than those that I don't like. Actually it's not that I don't like a breed. It's just that I think some are more suitable for me. At my age now I prefer a smaller dog (under 40 lbs.) and Bella just happens to be almost at that upper limit since she is 39 lbs. For me anyway they are easier to manage. The grooming is not a problem as I have groomed all of my dogs in the past and have been doing all of Ripley's grooming since he came to live with us 2 months ago. We groomed Bella ourselves also for the first 6 months but she has been seeing a groomer of late, as well as getting occasional touch-ups from us in between. I do agree that dogs are most likely a product of their environment although heredity plays a part too. I have stuck with poodles because of their temperament and intelligence, although there are others that I greatly admire as well.

I love all breeds! Growing up with big dogs all my life, I would love to have small dogs as well. Lady takes a lot of grooming all year 'round, and almost every day I have to go outside and brush her. I could see mysel with any kind of dog who has a long coat or requires grooming, because I have already adjusted myself to grooming Lady. I could picture myself with almost any kind of dog. I just love all the breeds. ;)

I dunno, I'd say small dogs, or poodles... But over the years here on Pet Talk, some people have made me love them by all of the photos and stories.
I can't say breed I least hate... and can't even say I hate the dogs in bad hands, I hate the hands they are in instead.

I cant say I hate this breed or that breed. First of all I havent had all the breeds so I dont know there personality. I dont care for St. Bernards--because they are too big--but again I dont know there personality. I also dont care for the Chinease Crested. I just cant see myself with either of those. I also cant see myself with a few other dogz.:D

AGREED!
I don't see how people can say they *hate* breeds. How can you put such a blanket statement over every dog in that breed category? The only dogs I've ever been bitten by are Dachshunds and Schiperkes. That does not make me go out and say "I hate Dachshunds" , in fact I love them. I couldn't hate any dog, I love them all.
I am sorry for those of you who hate Chows. They are a wonderful breed. I've known so many wonderful Chows.
And grooming a poodle does requre some effort, but its worth it to have their wonderful personality around always making you laugh. And they are one of the very FEW breeds that will not shed at all. How could you resist a face like this:

It is entirely against the spirit of Pet Talk to even think about hating a "breed." After all, every dog is special, right?
Every dog is beautiful to those who love him or her, right?

I have a confession to make- I have always been afried of Chows, not saying I hate them. My friends little sister was attacked by there Chow who they had for 3 years for doing absolutly nothing, the dog just went crazy. After witnessing that I've always swore I would never like another Chow or go near one.
But, After reading all the storries Anna tells abotu Huney, I have to say I kinda like them now. I think they are very pretty, they seem like sweet dogs. I must of just met a bad one, but there is always a bad one of every breed. I don't think I will ever own one. But I can say now that I'm not completly terrified of them :D '

I can't!! I can't!!! :D
I don't "hate" any breed, and I think that’s a very mean thing to say, especially here where ALL animals are loved. Now, there used to be some that I didn't like as much as others, due to my personal experiences. I used to dislike poodles, just because I used to groom and I would do, like, 30 poodles every Saturday!! I just dreaded doing the topknots of ALL those Poodles. Now I LOVE them! I used to dislike Westies; all the ones I had groomed were nippers and growlers. Then I got Stolly (RB). He was the BEST dog I've ever had, and I groomed him!
Don't judge an animal by its looks, reputation or even your own experiences. Judge each and every animal on its own merit.
Do you hate all black/white people because of something that happened in your past? I hope not.
Do you hate all Christians/Non Christians because they don't fit in with your lifestyle or are different? I hope not.
PS. Rizzy and Kfamr Chinese Cresteds are some of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet! I know 2 of them and they'll kiss you till the cows come home, then snuggle down in your lap and lay there until your legs go numb! :)

I dont hate any breed either. it is just some breeds suit me more then others, thats all, isnt this post about that?? dogs do not deserve to be hated by looks or whatever, it is the owners fault on how they rais the dog, for how it acts. I hate bad owneres. I love all breeds, I just prefer some over others.

I don't hate any dog or any animal for that matter but, I'm SCARED by Saint Bernards and Pit Bulls. In our area a lot of people have bred these to terrific meaness with bad health problems. You really have to be choosy about G.S.D. and Labradors also. The dog that has bitten me the worst was a YORKIE! but I like them (for someone else-toy dogs and livestock are a bad combination).:)

I have a strong dis-liking towards small breeds. The only small dogs I like are min pins, Jack Russel Terriers, Daschunds, and Chihuahua's. Those are the only small dogs I like.
I love my dogs big. I am nuts about Labradors (duh! :p )Boxers, and Great Danes. I also like Greyhounds, St. Bernards, Wolfhounds, Gun dogs, and Mastiffs. There are a couple of big and medium breeds that I don't like either. Poodles, Saluikis (sp?), Afgahans (Sp?), Bulldogs- those are some bigger breeds I don't really care for. Besides that I love every dog.

Of course I have a couple of breeds that are guilty by association. Chows, cockers and dobies being those. I was either chased or bitten by these breeds. I've met some wonderful dogs of these breeds, too.....but well, you know.
I myself like bigger dogs so the smaller breeds just don't appeal to me. But all dogs have teeth so I feel the potential is always there.
It's funny......a little dog scurring around my feet makes me way more nervous than any pit bull I've ever met! LOL How silly.

I can't think of any breed I don't like, there are just a few I don't think I would chose to own...and if the right dog had a mix of one of those breeds, I wouldn't turn it away :)
I don't think I would seek out a cocker spaniel becuase the few I have met have not been overly dog friendly and I like taking my dogs to play at the park or to dayschool. I don't think I would seek out a Great Dane, Saint Bernard, Irish Wolfhound, (etc.) because I don't have the room in my house. ( I love the breed though!)
Any breed can be wonderful or horrible in the "right" hands :)

I don't 'hate' any breed, but I would always prefer large dogs rather than samll dogs (unlike my parents;)). To me, larger dogs are easier to handle and aren't as yappy as small dogs. I had a lab mix -Chance- that was huge, but the smartest, most beautiful, gentlest dog I ever owned. Now that I have my Basenji, Riley, I find it more difficult to train him and to keep his attention. He also snips at me when he's hyper (before his walks).

I don't hate any breed - what I hate is that certain people seem to be attracted to certain breeds and give them a bad reputation. For example: mean people often get Rottweilers or GSDs and train them to be mean. So now very many people are scared of Rotties and GSDs. I would LOVE to have one of these breeds, especially a GSD, but I probably won't because many of the neighors would be upset about it.
I LOVE GSDs!! I want one so badly! But I think I'll get a mix which doesn't look too GSD-ish so the neighbors won't get nervous. Or maybe I could somehow disguise the GSD......hehehe
Of the dogs I won't get: anything bigger than a GSD or smaller than a corgie. Bigger and smaller dogs are great, but the bigger ones leave bigger piles and my fence won't hold the smaller ones!

Amen! LOL When one of my clients asked if my neighbors didn't like me because of my dogs, I was like, "Why? Because I have dogs in my yard?" They're the ones that have the 14 year old unaltered male lab with cancer that they leave in the yard all day and he barks. Some people.

I don't hate any breed. There are quite a few that I don't see myself ever getting, but that doesn't mean I hate them.
Cocker Spaniels--I've met a few really sweet cockers, but a lot more who were rather nippy. I don't like the way their ears are always smelly and getting infections either (I know, that doesn't happen with *every* cocker....)
Any breed with a longer, thick coat like a rough collie....or one that matts easily....nothing against the personality of the dog, I just don't want the grooming requirements lol.
And any dog that has to be shaved regularly like a poodle/schnauzer. They are great dogs (I have one of each hehe) but after working at a Grooming Salon, I think I'll tend to stay away from dogs that need to be groomed so much. I like Nebo's coat...it may shed, but it doesn't matt, and certainly does not need to be shaved! hehe
Most dogs with smushed-in (or whatever the technical term is) don't appeal to me, though I find pugs adorable. Not a big fan of shih-tzus.
Don't see myself getting a beagle.......I think they are *adorable* and very sweet dogs...but I have a couple of neighbors with them, and I just don't like how much (and how loud) they bark lol.
I tend to like medium-large dogs over small ones, though they all cute...just what I'd rather have. Of course, I'm a wolf freak, and large furry wolf-like dogs are what I like the best!! :D

Chows are actually one of my favorite breeds! I think they are SO cute! I'm practically scared of most dogs over 20 pounds  but that doesn't mean I dislike them.
My "least" favorite breed would have to be great danes. I think they are so big they look like you could ride them. I saw one at the beach the other day and freaked out so bad that I almost fell. No offense to dane lovers. They just scare me. :) They are HUGE!
Rottweilers also scare me and I don't like breeds that have so thin fur it looks like they have no fur.
I think huskies are beautiful, and I love cocker spaniels and maltese because they are SOOOOOO cute! I think golden retrievers are so super cute as well. They've got to be my favorite "big" dog.

Like most everybody else, there's no breeds that I hate or
dislike. But I don't consider myself that great of a dog trainer,
so I feel wary of getting any breed that's known for overly
protective or aggressive behavior. I don't want to have any
fear of my dog attacking anybody. I'm very secure in the love
I have with my dogs, so I want them to love and be gregariously
friendly to everybody they meet.
I really think that if a real situation arose where I was in danger,
they'd sense my fear and realize the realness of the situation
and protect me. Actually they'd probably be a better judge of
it, then a breed that's naturally suspicious of everybody.

I don't think there is any breed I hate, but I will say there are a lot of breeds I don't know a lot about. Sometimes peoples fear of a breed comes from ignorance about that breed.
If I meet someone with a dog I don't know anything about, I ask. If they are a true breed-specific dog lover, you almost get more information than you want but that's the nature of the dog lover.
I have a mixed shepard & ?; a standard dachshund and a yorkie. They don't get much different than that in attitude, temperament and care; but I love each one.

And dachunds, Not anything against their Inteligence or anything, But their not very good looking dogs.
And rottweilers.....

I can't answer this question, because I have no breed that I dislike, including those that aren't any particular breed at all!! I am a DOG LOVER and proud of it!!!
If your question were phrased a bit differently, and you asked which breed I would be most likely "not" to get, then I might be able to answer, but I have to say, if there is an opening in my house, I'd take any dog that needed me more than I needed it! I don't hate any breed, in fact, I find it insulting to list all these breeds people "hate". Hate is a very strong word, and feelings are bound to be hurt when you list off the breeds that you hate. We all have our favorites, and we all have different tastes. I would never list a breed that I didn't like, that's not a nice thing to do.

I'm gonna repost what I put in my original post:
But, that's only because I was chased by one walking to school when I was like 7. It was scary. And that memory has always stayed with me... who knows, maybe someday I'll love the breed.
Have you ever been chased for more than a mile by a dog nearly double your size, mangy lookin (it's fur was completly dreaded, somebody really did not like this poor dog), foaming at the mouth, snapping at you heals... coming so close that as you ran your heels where hitting the bottom of the dogs jaws... for a child walking alone it's rather intimidating.
Yeah, I'm gonna hate the breed. The memory has brought me frightful nightmares over numerous years. Am memory, one of my earliest, that I just can get rid of.
While my husband and I were at a dog show recently, for the first time since this incident I actually got enough courage to go up to the chows who were on their way back to the bench and petted one. He was a sweetheart, but, I still trembled in fear. And seeing the picture above has actually made me start shaking, yeah he's cute in a picture, but, for me in person, it's a different story.
So get over yourselves. Before you start thinking your better than everybody else, maybe you should ask why they say something.

You are right, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I really do not think anyone here was trying to be "better than anyone else".
Anyway, the post was about your least favourite breed - and as you can see, everyone here had an opinion too. Unfortunately the "hate" word seems to get people's backs up.

I dont hate any breeds, but I dont like labs, never have. their are labs that I have met and loved but I would never want one. the reason is that they are solid colour(I much prefer my doggies have markings) and that they love everyone, they are too happy and overbearing  and I am not a terrier person, I have 2 terriers but I dont get along with them at all, I get along with herding breeds best:p so I thing I will stick with the herding type, athough I might ventur out to a NSDT Retreiver someday:D

just been reading all your interesting comments regarding breeds of dogs you most dislike.
I dont own a dog , just the two cats, but have grown up on the farm with border cross collie dogs, they are gentle lovely dogs, all animals are special and beautiful, i could never hate any of them.
I used to dog sit for a cocker spaniel named ben, he was a real sweetie, but take him on his leash for a walk and if he saw another dog it was a different story, he went crazy, i got to the stage i was too scared to take him for a walk, his owners moved not long after and i no longer saw him.
Now of breeds the pit bull terrier has a bad reputation here in nz, they are often used in gangs ,and staged dog fights, its really disgusting, its often the owners who make these dogs vicious not the poor animal, do you have that problem in the states?
We had a recent case here where a little girl was badly savaged by a dog, her face was a mess and she faces years of surgery, the two owners received 3mths jail and had to pay each 2000 dollars to the parents, this will never cover her surgery costs, and her suffering.
The worst part of this all was in the end they think it was a different dog, and this poor dog was of course put down. to cut a long story short they are never allowed to own a dog again, but the good thing that came out of something so tragic, is they adopted two lovely cats.
Our dog laws need to be addressed here sharply to protect innocent people and the dogs too.
I personally love the siberian husky dog, they are magic, i love their amazing eyes. a little tropical here in nz for them i think but they seem to survive and thrive.

Yes, unfortunatly we do. Pit Bulls are too often used as fighting dogs, trained to attack other dogs....every now and then you hear about dogs being stolen as "bait dogs" to train this animals. It is horrible what people do to certain breeds.

If I were to have to say I didn't like a certain due to being scared because it bite me or chased me, I would have never owned my german shepherd Reba (RIP) When I was three I was attached by a german shepherd and biten, When I was ten I was bitten by a Chow and no one could find him. so I had to take 21 shots in the stomach. Do I dislike chows, no A Friend of mine owned one named Jake, (RIP) he was the biggest baby, even up to the end, he never tried to bit or nip at us when he was in so much pain. If I listed all the dogs that have bitten me I wouldnt have much to chose from to be my pet. Working in a vet office I get bit alot. I love cats, and own them But last year was put in the hospital because of one. It bit the knuckle off my finger to the bone. Each breed has it own temperments, You have to know what the temperment . Scent and Sight hounds are usually hard to walk due to if they catch a scent the chase is on. Same with sight hounds. Every dog will have something that you will not like about them. Most people here seem not to like the poodle due to grooming. I can understand that As owing 4 poodles, Grooming requires a lot of my time. But there are some breeds with a thick short coat that requires brushing and grooming. Rottweilers, huskeys due to the undercoat they have. I quess being raised around different dogs, I have a love for all. The only bad dog is a bad human owner. Dogs are no different than people, they have to be taught. Just as we teach children. You send Your child to school. So send the dog to school. People are what makes bad breeds. I could write about all the so called bad breeds that come to our clinic that are not bad at all. The Pits, Rotts, Dobies, etc. But I quess I better quit typing or it will be a book. I like all dogs, purebreed or mutts. ( The All dog Breed):)

I really don't like shaved dogs like shaved poodles or Chinese Crested Dogs. I mean, I like poodles, just what people do to poodle show dogs.... *shiver* it's scary

Chinese crested dogs' hair is actually naturally like that :)
I don't really like the shaved look either. I mean, it would be nice looking, but I just don't like the way they shave the hair on the head, and then fluff it up...it makes the dog's face look differently-shaped... ....I tend to go more toawrds the natural haired poodles..they have such nice fur, and it's so pretty when it's all there :p

Hmm..I dont think I could see myself owning any breed less then 50 pounds. Just for the fact I love big dogs! I am also..vary weary of Chow Chows...one attacked and killed my cat a couple years ago...but i dont hate the breed.
tough question...I don't hate any breeds..I just don't see myself owning quite a few of them...mostly they're in the toy group...I'm really into the working group though..I don't see myself owning a small dog. When my mom decided to get a sheltie, I was pretty pissed off cuz I wanted a dog no smaller than a border collie...but I grew to love the breed...so who knows..

I can't say that I HATE any breed! Actually I seem to love all the breeds that others are scared of. Rotties, Pitbulls, Akita, Dobies, chows, german shep, etc.
I was bitten and chased by a half wolf half german shep dog when i was little.......but then again I did take his bone away from him and he had a reason to bite me...........

turner, too funny!!!
Well, I do believe that different people love and care for different breeds of dogs. In my lifetime, I have had many...all odd shapes and sizes,..purebreds and mungrels, But I have loved them all. So, it is what you want in a dog, and what you are able to put into giving that dog- is what pleasure you will receive. You see, a dog will give 100% to a good and loving owner. Enough said!!

Seems to me that when asked their least favourite breed people answered the dog of which they are most afraid or by whom they were attacked or bitten. It's like people just because one kind of person treats you badly it's no reason to dislike other people of the same kind.
Aesthetically speaking-shaved, prissied poodles-when they do the top knot for shows the poor babies look like they've had one too many facelifts!! Left fuzzy they look fabulous in my opinion!!

I don't like poodles or Bichon Frise's
That is O.K......you don't have to like them. Just think if everybody liked and wanted the same breed of dog in this big world.......there would be a lot of dogs without owners. I don't like the doberman, but my hybby has one, he is a guard dog. He is magnificent looking, but he has a job to do and does it well. He is well looked after, but I don't like or trust him.
Then there will be a lot of owners coming down on me because of what I said..........but I used to own big dogs many ears ago, but they were mine and well loved. I have had many tiny wee doggies as well, and loved and cared for them also.

most people are answering the dogs they "hate" what was asked was ur LEAST FAVORITE .. no one should be offended or anything.. I dont have a least favorite breed.. pretty much all dogs are my favorite! But some dogs arent suitable for me.. I grew up with rotties my whole life so i really dont have a problem with them.... poodles i dont see myself having.. that doesnt mean i dont like them.. Im sure they are just as sweet as my baby!! anna i cant resit that chow chow face!!!! :D
How can people dislike a dog, unless they have owned one?? I didn't say Hate, as that is such a harsh word. I have had the tall and short.........The doberman( which is ours ,hubby's to be exact), well if I had one from a babe who knows I would probably love it like I did my G.S.D's. Terriers, cross breds, mongrels, pound dogs pure breds, poodles, scruffy looking dogs, you name it........how can one say? I would never own a Rottie, ever !! Is that what I should have said? AS I won't....I am too old for their strength.

I am very sorry if what I have said made you think that. I was trying to say, how can one choose a dog unless they have owned one, to vote it a 'least favourite.
If I have offended you, I am really very sorry, as I did not mean to.

Funny how a lot of people dont seem to fond of poodles, i think they are great, very intelligent, and good for allergy sufferers like me, but yes its just as well we all have different tastes or there would be a shortage of a particular breed i guess.:)
Carole, since I came here I have found a lot of people are not fond of poodles,........nor do they like the idea of my Labradoodle. I wasn't going to come back after a lot of the stuff said to me, but then I thought, " what the heck, she is my dog, I wanted her, I chose her, and she has a good life with me." - - -
Carole, nothing against what you have just said as I said it first, and I mean it, I had cats for years as well, my last one died at 15 years of age in '99, and her brother was 10 ( but he had kidney cancer) - - they were both Pure breds. My first pure bred cats. Before that I had heaps on the farm, and only had to have one put down through snake bite. I never taught my dogs to chase cats or rabbits. I just love animals.

Mich and Carole - I am sorry you had a bad experience with some people regarding your Poodle.
I may not have a poodle, but friends do and they are GORGEOUS.
Mich - Same applies to your Labradoodle. I saw a blind man this morning with a black one ..... beautiful.
I must admit I was "against" cross breeding the Lab and Poodle, but can see why it was done originally, and hold no "malice" towards them, they are lovely!!! They have the great qualites of BOTH dogs. :D

I listed a few when I was using my original username...but I just thought of a breed...
I don't think I'd get an afghan anytime soon. I wouldn't mind grooming them because I'd groom them day and night if I had to but they're generally too independant for me. But I do think they're gorgeous dogs...I met a couple who had 2 afghan's that did a "superdogs" show. I had nothing but total respect for them because their dogs were so well trained and very obedient.

I don't have a least favorite breed at all.
I don't get along with every person I meet. I get along with every dog I meet. I love every dog I have met so far which is a lot. I got bitten by a dalamation when I was small. Do I hate the breed? No! I would love to have one.
Every dog is special and every dog is different. Just because a person had a bad experience with ONE dog of ONE breed does not mean all the dogs of the breed are bad.

I don't *hate* any specific breed. However probably because I have never been personally aquainted with one I am a bit intimidated by Dobermans and Jack Russel Terriers. :o I understand that they can be very sweet, but I guess I just need to meet one in person.

Since I'm new here and lurk most of the time and I have hesitated to post much because I have a maltese(the dreaded tiny foo-foo dog)I'm probably older than most if not all of you but I just want to say that over the the past 40 years I have had a variety of breeds in my life and they all held a special appeal to me. I have had cockers, shelties, goldens, german shepherds, mutts and so on. Most of the time we have had big dogs but I finally told my husband that I wanted a lap dog, he threw a fit because he likes big dogs. The reason I wanted a tiny dog was because I'm at an age where I needed something that was easier for me to handle(strength) the benefits are that I can take him with me more, I have even taken him into stores shopping. He eats less, poops less, I can walk and carry him with ease. He fits my life stage. In the past I alway prefered long haired dogs and wasn't attracted to the short hair type but as I age I have realized that my list of dogs I find appealing has grown. Dogs that I would have thought were unattractive 10 years ago I now look at them and actually see the beauty in the unique appearance of each breed. I find myself thinking "what a beautiful Saluki, Greyhound, Boxer, Crested, etc" all of which in the past held no appeal for me. Yes, I have been bitten by a Boston Terrier and a Dachshund and thought I disliked those breeds but have since met other Boston's and Dachshunds that I thought were sweet and cute. My cousin was almost killed by a chow about 40 years ago and I thought I hated chows but my sister-in-law had one that was a sweetheart. I have learned that it's the individual dog or owner that forms our opinions. Bottom line is that years from now you may find that your list of dogs that you like or dislike will change. I love them all and hope I have the time to enjoy many more. Looking into those brown (or blue) eyes just melt my heart.

There are some breeds I really must protest in the name of. First of all, my cousin has a lhasa named Buddy and he is the sweetest thing in the world, also, Chows? My babysitter has a chow and shes like my best friend. Have you ever stopped to think that maybe its not the breed that is mean or cruel or bad or nasty, It could be the people who raise them.:D

What a dear, sweet, kind person you are. What you have said should be put on a poster...for all the World to read. As, no truer words have ever been spoken! ! ! And yes, I have had quite a few poodles, but not one was the same.......one was a nasty little beast, but he was a rescue, and had been hurt.
I am so glad I have had the pleasure of meeting you. Please, with all your knowledge, with so many dogs, do offer your thoughts on any subject.......and yes, there will be some who don't like what you say, but there will be more who do.

Gee, I'm glad no one in this thread actually hates any breed!
Poodles do have to be groomed, but it's less work than constantly cleaning up fur. Not every dog owner has a big spread for their pup. Those of us who live in apartments love a dog that doesn't shed. :)

Beddiz,
I just read, how you didn't like your own Bedlington. Please tell me why???? As , my one and only, was the love of my life, she was a cuddle-pup, and protector, and a childrens toy....but she did llike to dig. Dogs that arent my favorite, but are still loved....
Black Labs: actually, I dont mind them, but Gonzo tends to really dislike black labs or black lab mixes. could be related to a bad experience in his first home?
Great Danes: adorable, very sweet, but the danes Ive met are too *big* and goofy for my taste :p
Poodle Mixes: I know that some of these mixed breeds do turn out to have good personalities, but to me poodle mixes embody all that is Puppy Mills and BYBs. Especially when I see Yorkipoos, Pekepoos, Maltipoos, and Labradoodles selling from $2000 at pet stores and usually selling for more than a wellbred purebred Poodle.
