Hi,

I just dropped Hayley off at the vets office to get spayed. I hope she is okay at the vets and is not too afraid. The vet tech is going to call me after the procedure to give me an update. Then of cource I will call sometime in the afternoon. I have to pick her up between 4:00 and 4:15. She was not too happy when I took her food away last night. She was all over the house this morning looking for food as well. I hope she don't be sick when she comes home today. I just realized I forgot to ask about the cone. I'll be prepared just in case she has one on when I pick her up. Please keep her in your thoughts today.

Oh Sweet Hayley,

You just have a sweet nap today and you'll be back on your feet, with plenty to eat, in no time.

She will probably still be a little dopey and not herself at all, and this can be a little upsetting for a kitty mom. But a good night's rest and some food and water and she should be back to normal in no time. You might want to keep her separated from Mandy for the night so she gets some good rest.

I'm sure everything will be fine. Try not to worry too much and before you know it you'll have her back at home and she'll be back to normal. :)

I just heard from the vet tech and Hayley is out of surgery and doing fine. Everything went okay and I am really looking forward to picking her up this afternoon. I think I am going to stop and the pet store and buy her a new cat bed for when she gets home. I'm going to call and she how she is again this afternoon so I will post an update later.

I am so glad that Hayley is doing well after the surgery. I remember the relief I felt when the vet phoned me after Tanner was out of surgery. She will be back on her feet in no time.:)

Other cats may not immediately accept a cat that just came back from the vet. I usually try and wipe them down with a "cat bath" (like a wet wipe). That helps to get ride of the "vet smell" and then I don't usually have any problems.

Hayley will need another good night's sleep and then she'll be nearly back to her normal self. I hope both Mandy and Hayley are fine:)

I am glad that she is feeling fine. Don't feel bad about getting her spayed. There are too many homeless kitties out there. But a cat bed???? About as useless as cat toys. My bed is my cat's bed. If I ever tried to evict them, there would be war. :p Cat toys? That would be the bag that they came in...

Hayley came home on friday and she acted like nothing had happened. She was not tired and didn't go to sleep until sometime late in the night. It would have been a lot better if she was a little tired fot a couple of days because mommy had two really stressful days! She is doing okay I guess. She has to wear the cone because she will not leave her stitches alone. This morning we caught her licking them with the cone on! She can't stay in that position for very long. Mandy thinks she can help her sister and lick the stitches for her so they are both in seperate rooms while I am at work. Hopefully it will heal quickly and hopefully I will get some sleep tonight. Not much sleep since wednesday night. Just Cat Naps!

I knew cats recover quickly but Hayley seems to be faster than anybody else I heard of:) :)

Sounds like Hayley is recovering with Flying colors....I am so glad things are going great...this is what I am afraid is going to happen when Fluff gets her stitches is Rocky will try to lick them for her...he grooms her ALL the time as it is....:)
