i just wanted to tell u all that have expressed such kind words of comfort to me that my mum is doing well, went and saw her today in hospital, she was better last nite, but is feeling sick from the anesthetic, she has very bad reaction, but otherwise she is not too bad, the good news is surgeon says he cant be 100 percent sure until test results come back, but it looks like the cancer was caught so early it would not have had a chance to spread, i do hope he is right, once again thanks to all of you for your support much appreciated, :)

Carole: I'm glad she got through OK. What kind of cancer? Sorry but I must have missed your other thread. They have made wonderful advances now in cancer treatment and therapy. My cousin just finished her final chemo for lung cancer and the doctor says the tumor as shrunk and the outcome looks good. I've had alot of cancer in my family and I know the worry you must be going through. I do hope you are getting some much-needed support from your local Cancer Society??

thank very much for your kind words, its breast cancer, but she has had mammograms every two years without fail, the mammograms donot usually pick up a lump so small according to the doctors, so she is lucky in that respect, but u never know for sure until the test all come back, if its not in the lymph nodes then u usually have a much better chance, sorry u have had to go through it too, its awful when its someone u love so much isnt it, but i am feeling positive now and encourgage all women to have those mamograms, myself included especially now, i have never had one but will yearly from no on it sure gives u a scare. bye for now

My mother is fine now, and she was even able to have another child afterwards. My thoughts are with you and your mom tonight, may everything work out for the best!
