Since 57% are feeding 'Other', it would be interesting to find out what 'Other' is included in the %.
I have also fed Precise but I'd have to buy it at a rescue/shelter and they aren't always open at convenient times. And they don't carry a diet version.
My daughter used to feed Pedigree until I explained how bad it was for her dogs and yard. She had to feed twice as much and pick up a lot more than with a premium brand. End cost was about the same.

I feed Leo Bil-Jac. I used to feed him Science Diet, but he didn't eat it without doctoring it with wet food or chicken broth. The Bil-Jac he gobbles dry.

Great sig, Candy :)
Mickey gets Iams Puppy Chow and it is mixed with *some* little "protein blankets" (these little pieces of kibble) that are from Pedigree.
(I accidentally voted "purina" )

I have been feeding Quantum Select Protein Chicken & Rice to Bob for over year now. It is a quaility complete dry food and - an important consideration for me in choosing it - has no artificial antioxidants, preservatives or colourants added.

i've fed alex a BARF diet since 12/00. he went seven months without a seizure, the longest he'd gone w/o one. i started duke on it when he moved in with us last 3/02. both dogs LOVE it, the stoolls are small, easily picked up, and hardly smell at all. the only bad thing, as a very urban city girl, i've seen a raw chicken head and it did gross me out (such a wimp LOL)

My girlfriends Westie has been diagnosed with diabetes and the vet has him on Hill's Science Diet W/D but he takes spells when he won't eat at all. Is there another dog food for diabetic dogs that is tastier?
Thanks,
Donna

We do love solid gold but our Leonberger had some problems ,the other 3 were fine with it , and we have ended up on Verus for quite some time now and all do well.Of course I supplement fruits and vegetables, some fish& meat cooked and all natural treats and all 4 of our guys do very well. Our leonberger-Dakota Star was the only one that ever really had a problem alllthough with change in his diet our lab mix-Mojo gets alot of gas but our shiba inu -Byakko and pappillion/pomeranian mix-Martini Shen seem to do fine on any of the superpremium diets.
Due to my severe health problems I don't feel I could do a good job with a BARF diet. I think it is a great diet if you do it right but my health is getting much worse and I can't do it without my children at home I couldn't care for the furkids alone. Luckily most of the furkids are my 22 yr old daughters technically and she is a vet tech and in college. My 15 yr old son has Mojo and I have Byakko when anyone moves out but hopefully no one will anytime soon because in all reality we are just a family and love everyone equally. I can't imagine getting through a day without the furkids.
Diet is extreamly important and can save you alot of worry and $$ if you feed a healthy diet because cutting corners there can really add to health problems and vet bills.
Have a great day everyone off to cuddle the furkids
Love Laurie,Byakko and family

I find that nuto natural is working for my pets..I also liked what natural balance allergy formula(yellow bag)did for my dogs skin and coat. That is very expensive for me tho. nutro fits the buget better and its a good food.
