Hello, sweet Cody! You aren't the only cat who doesn't like doorbells. My girlcat, Dinah Lee, will give one of her trademark growls and dive under the king-sized bed whenever the doorbell rings. My ex-feral boy, Bill, will be right behind her. While Dinah will come out in a few minutes to see who has arrived and eventually will come into the room to meet the visitors, Bill will remain under the bed until he hears the sounds of departure and the car driving away.

Cody, you are a very noble-looking, long, tall fellow. Of course, you rule the house! And your family's hearts too, I have absolutely no doubt. I wish you many many years of health and happiness, dearest boy!

Don't feel bad about the doorbell scare either-all three of my kitties are the SAME way. If we come in the side door after work and all the kitties are under the bed, we go back out and check the front door, often to find a note left from someone who had obviously rung our doorbell! They just hate that. :) :D
