When was Nala spayed ? If it was just a few days ago, I would
advise against the swimming or tub baths until the incision is
completely healed up to prevent infection from setting in. I'm
not a nurse or vet, but that's what I would say.

Hugs to Simba & Nala.:)

Definitely Kayann, you, err, Nala, needs to wait to swim, take a tubbie, until the stitches are remvoed and the wound is healed. Like Liz says, you don't want to risk an infection or put a strain on the suture line...(swimming) You'll just have to settle for hugging and kissing her and of course, taking pictures!!;)

Now, now Mama!!:D The boys sure do have it easier than us girls!;) I'm sure in a day or two she'll be able to take a splash. Did they say anything about 10 days???

Byakko just got spayed and hers were dissolvable and it took just a day or so past a week. She healed beautifully but we had to wait until it was healed to get her wet.We also had to keep her activity to a minimum for 5 days. She is back to normal and her incision is completely healed. We never had an infection problem thank goodness.I did just what the vet said because I knew if I didn't it would take much longer to heal. You can always call the vet and see what they say.I would think you could describe it over the phone and not even go in and they could tell you whether she could swim or not.It was a bit tougher for her than our litle boy.He was fine the next day but he had to wait too.

Timber had to get her stitches reoved :( so that kinda sucked lol...but I wouldn't take Nala swimming for a while :)
It reminds my of when Icarus had a big open wound..I washed it every day, and in the end, it got really infected and he got a huge cyst :( Now, if I ever catch him with an open wound (Frisco's doings *sighs*) I just leave it, and it heals wonderfully :)

Isis was spayed about 3 weeks ago but She got a bath about a week and a half after the operation. So I would suggest just a couple more days and then go ahead! Water didn't seem to have any effect on Isis' stitches.

Eeeek fleas? Poor Nala! Does Simba have them too? My dogs have never had them...we don't have fleas here.

You can buy those dog bath wipes you could use...or even just a damp rag.....as long as she's not *soaked* and wet where the stitches are!

p.s. we've bathed dogs from the shelter that had been spayed/neutered the day before with no problems.....wouldn't risk it though!
