Subject: Dalmation in Desperate Need
Hi,
My name is Dena Allen. I contact you with the desperate plea about a sweet female Dalmation at the CACC. I'm hoping you or someone you know can help. Even if you can only foster her, this will get her into safety and buy her some time. I can imagine, a purebred will not be hard to place. I'm happy to front some of her medical expenses if need be. I am also affiliated with a charity here in New York and will give you my full support in helping place her into a forever home after she's pulled from the CACC. Right now we desperately need a temporary foster home. Here's her story:

I know everybody is full, but I had a lady call me tonight about a very sweet female Dal in the CACC in Manhattan Shelter, NY. She said the dog is approximately 3 years old and arrived there at 5:30 on Sunday. She is due to be PTS on Thursday. She said the girl is very sweet, wagging her tail the whole time. She does have a cut on her head and muzzle from some boys breaking a bottle over her head. She also said that the AC officers tied their best to find her somewhere to go and couldn't. She stated that the shelter was not doing any treatment to her wounds because they only have to hold her for 4 days. Next adoption day, I believe is Wednesday. I told the lady that I would put her name and phone numbers out if anyone can help. The ladies name is Laurie Melchar work phone is 212-559-6209 Cell 917-655-7017 Home 212-678-2561. Her work email is [email protected]. She said the best way to get hold of her is cell phone. If anyone can help, please call her.
